Abeg why are Yoruba guys fond of that habit? I have Hausa friends, I have Igbo friends. When maybe you've been out of the hood for a while and you come back. The Hausa man will greet you out of genuine likeness, same with the Igbo man but this Yoruba guys ehn. Let them just see that you mistakenly wore nice Nike shoes. They are already telling you how big you are and you get levels. Raising hand up and telling you to do "something" for them. They never like you genuinely as a friend or good person. Please it's annoying , if you have any brother, son or uncle or boyfriend doing that. Please tell them to get a life . Na everybody una Tinubulation dey touch okay Stop billing me go and bill your president , these are the same set of people I saw at the polling station preventing people from voting a particular party o. I kid you not 4 Likes |

I really don't understand how people don't understand that it's ignorance to generalize an observation derived from interacting with a set of people. Those people you are referring to are probably thugs in the area, no one (tribe excluded) that has something going for them would raise their hand to praise others all in the name of whatever you could give them that won't help their life in the long run. Youruba people!!!!!, really?, that's the best your intellect could do for you. You speak like there are no thugs in other parts of the country Tribalism go soon blind una pta pta 8 Likes |

Obiedun: You don't have to live in a slum. Ikeja, Vi, lekki. They are the ones who will remove your plate number and tell you to come bail it with cash. You can't experience such stupidity and entitlement in the south east or north. They just feel you owe them once u seem like someone who has cash. 1 Like |

LalastiklaIa:Those are the area boys which you can find in urban areas like Abuja, kano and onitsha. Onitsha is even the worst. Go to the Newyork city, you will be surprised to see a lot of beggars, destitutes and area boys. So stop insulting yoruba. You are tribalist and divisive. 2 Likes |

Obiedun: Bro I know what I am saying. Their are area boys normally everywhere that want to tax anybody from transport workers to market women etc. That one is different from what I'm talking about. The begging is getting out of hand and they feel entitled to it in such a way that if you don't give them next time. You might become an enemy. Just this evening an elderly one stopped me and said he is hungry. Just like that he doesn't even know me. I had to look for 5h to give him 2 Likes |
