This bros can travel now and spend as much as 6 months outside the country. when he returns to naija, he will go to the port and clear his cargo which will include at least 3-4 cars and other second hand used items ranging from rugs, lawn mower, cooking utensils, blenders, etc. He has a shop within the estate where he sells those items. Even the Right handed vehicles he imports, he sells them off within a month or two.

I don't know if it's so easy to just go abroad, scrap up a lot of econd hand products, send it down to naija and sell it off at a profit instantly. If someone like that is cuaght up in this car theft mess, I won't be surprised at all.

Well, they mostly are not second hand products. They are actual scrap. The us is a hard consumer society and is driven by acquisition. Discarded goods have to be disposed. As an example, enterprises have a policy of replacing laptops every 4 years. Once the time has elapsed the 4 year old laptops are e waste to be disposed of. Get rid of the hard drive and dispose of the laptop. People who know their way will get these for free, maybe even be paid to dispose of them, and then they find their way to third world countries where they are marked up. This speaks to scrap items though, not recent model cars that still have market value.
