The story didnt add up.

So police shot a convict that allegded tried to escape, then traders set their own market on fire??
The convict is a market tout not an arm robber. Go to mandilas in Lagos island you will see market tout everywhere...

That action (escaping detention) is reserved for a select few. To be selected, you must have greased palms well.

That man who was prosecuted and convicted then made attempt to flee is the root cause of the problem. If that security officer had not intervened, it is that security officer that will be severely punished. He will be sacked, prosecuted and jailed in place of that escaped convict.
The security officer could have used a rubber bullet though.
Persecuted for peeing on wrong side of the market that's all, why him on cuffs?

Let us set the whole nation on fire to protest years of misrule and thievery by those in power and in big government offices.

Why do you think he had rubber bullets?
Could he not have shot to disable/immobilise him rather than kill the freshly convicted person?

The policeman should be prosecuted and convicted for aggravated murder.

I had to quickly leave the market yesterday.
The useless taskforce people caused this. Now they have seen what their reckless and inhuman behaviour results to. How can that officer use a live bullet on the poor boy simply because he was caught selling within the market place because he has no money to rent a shop.

Trigger Happy officers. These are things they do in the South and get away with. The Northerners will always retaliate.
oga don’t u read the write up?

The convicted person wanted to run away, it’s obvious u don’t know d implications

If a convicted person run away the warder will serve the sentence maybe life imprisonment or death penalty

The best is to kill the convicted, that is how it is done in the USA too so before u come here n claim saner clime

A running convict is better dead

How can an abuja environmental protection board mobile court prosecute and convict a man for peeing on a wall to send him to prison? You are sending someone to prison for urinating on the wall? What happen to a stern warning or a fine on the spot?
