That's like saying that you have to inform the local authorities that you are celebrating your birthday, wedding, child dedication etc. The only time you may have to infom the authorities of something you are celebrating is if it is in a public place.

Igbos are constitutionally empowered to celebrate anything they like, anywhere in Nigeria. You can't host a person in their own country. If you feel that you are hosting Igbos in Nigeria, then it is time to call out "one Nigeria" as the fraud it is and allow Igbos to go their way as a seperate country. Then you can host them if they come back.

In Lagos, there was political crisis in 1993, yoruba didn't run away, they stayed back in their land. Ibos ran away from Rivers to their ancenstral homes in the southeast, when they came back after the war, Rivers indigenes kicked them out and seized their properties. Rivers is not the home to ibos.

Or if they couldn't get him, they can petition to the Secretary General of Ohanaeze, Uche Okwukwu, another proud Ikwere-Igbo man from Elele, Rivers State

They can all then argue amongst themselves about if Rivers State is Igbo or not.
