This doesn't seem like a big deal to me because plans do change sometimes.

However, to avoid unnecessary delays at POE in case you are picked for a secondary check, make sure you travel with a reasonable amount of money that will cover your costs for a month.

Yes, you can! All that matters is it's genuine. It doesn't matter if you physically got it at the bank or not.

Please for a Canadian Visitor visa where a sibling is inviting me, my husband and our 2 toddler kids, how much do we say we plan to spend for the trip. I mean how best do we answer that question - How much money do you have for your stay in Canada? (In Canadian dollars - CAD)

I need guidance so we wont go and put something too small that will jeopardize our application.. My hubby and I have paid office jobs so we have payslips to tender plus a flat and the documents of a flat we own.

We are saying we are both co sponsoring the trip.

Please advise

If your sibling will be accommodating you, calculate how much the tickets would cost + maybe 1500 for food and shopping depending on how long you're staying.

Raise a webform to complain about the delay. Average processing time is 150 days and yours is way past that already. Point that out in the webform and urge them to provide you a response as it's delaying other plans you have with your passport. I think that should do it.

If the summer school can contact the Canadian high commission in nigeria directly with a letter stating your intention amd your name and passport number and date of birth in the letter and send to them via fax or mail or post, then maybe it will help. That's what was done for me however i had a copy of the letter before my application and we all made sure the letter was sent first to the canadian high commission before we applied.i attached a copy of the letter to my application as my letter of invitation. However I also work with a federal government agency and my company was to fully sponsor my trip.

The difference may be i did all these before application but you have applied already

Please how long will it take to get a passport request after biometric. I submitted my biometric on the 8th of February and I'm yet to get by thing from em. I have an occasion to attend April and I'm scared it might not make up

After going for biometrics, how long did it take them to make a decision on your application , how many months does it u to receive a decision made?
bigfatthing:

Hi, landed Toronto on Tuesday. No issues at all, except in lagos where the person that was supposed to print my boarding pass started asking unnecessary questions, say what’s the purpose of my visit , I told him I’m visiting my Aunty, he asked to see her PR card but I told her she’s a citizen, baba asked to see her passport. I had to call my aunt in the middle of the night to send her passport which she did, the man still complained that the passport has expired, that’s how my Aunty lost her cool, she went like “what the f is wrong with you people in Nigeria, does expiration of my passport take away my citizenship Bola bla bla “ , baba sha print my boarding pass and allow me go. Landed Addis Ababa and no question at all, landed Toronto, they just asked what I’m coming in with. Less than 2 minutes, I was cleared. Unfortunately I missed my flight to Calgary cos I couldn’t get my checked baggage, Air Canada rescheduled the flight for me , I waited 3 hours for the next flight . Toronto wasn’t cold as expected, I thought that’s how everywhere would be until I got to Calgary, the cold rushed me as I stepped out of the airport, I ran back in. Thanks to God and everyone here, safely home and adjusting. Best of luck to everyone expecting. And may God heal Nigeria, cos just few days here, I found out Nigeria is like 500 years behind.

Sir,The process for getting a visa from the IRCC (Immigration, Refugees, and Citizenship Canada) doesn't speed up, even if you have an event coming up soon. Even if your event is next month, it won't make your visa process faster. Your visa could still be approved after your event has passed. However, it's unlikely you'll hear back by April because many people who applied in October are still waiting for updates, and you only applied a month ago. So, patience is key when applying for a visit visa to Canada.

Do you do it yourself?

Do you have access to your portal?

If yes, no issue you can send a webform as a reminder request.

but if not, I will advise you reach out to your agent for further information.

You're right. I had expired visas and one valid US visa on my passport which I had not used before I applied mid November. I have forgotten that I applied for a TRV as I speak. Though cos of my existing biometric, which will expire in a few years' time, I got a TRV which expires on the date my biometric clocks 10 years. I'd ensure I renew with a 10 year validity passport next time. It's same visa fee after all, unlike the stingy UK

With a US visa, some stages are skipped and boxes are ticked on the visa applicant's assessment scale. If any applicant waiting for almost a year here should have their application approved eventually (which is my prayer for all), your next experience won't be like this. You could get your PPR even 2 weeks after applying, even if Nigeria's processing time shows 365 days as of the time you're applying.

This would be the first time my application would be delayed for several weeks before approval. I'd have to apply for a global case mgt system note later, to know why this one took so long before approval. Good luck to those still waiting. Keep the faith alive cos with God, all things are possible.

Each time I read some applicants concerns here,I'd just be smiling. I had made terrible mistakes in my applications in the past. I simply committed it in God's hands cos we're mere mortal. We're not angels. Even visa officers make mistakes when printing your biodata on your visa sticker. It will be overlooked with prayers of faith and i dont joke with it, despite my travel history. You never can tell which spirit the officer who will attend to your case is carrying. I always look beyond my might and carnal mind when renewing my visa.

My inlaw had a divine encounter at the usa embassy a couple of years ago. The vo was seen refusing applicants anyhow. While on the queue, a staff directed her to same lady. I told her to fast and pray for a few days before going for God's favour. Anyone who had applied for a student visa at the US embassy here would know how they take bank statement and the minimum credit balance on the sponsor's account seriously. The lady asked for hers, I had just 7m in that account but I told her to apply by faith. That's all I had and she applied with it. The VO said, but you know this amount is too small, this doesn't meet the minimum requirement as you know. Please can you get another sponsor grin? She quickly said yes and she placed her on 221G, asking her to report back to them in 3 business days via any of the DHL offices with the statement from another sponsor and her passport. She now gave her back her passport.

Omo see race here and there grin. I approached my Anambra-born close friend, may God continue to bless him for me. It was simply a pay back cos I had done him a favour in the past as well. He pulled 6m while my in-law's friends pulled 5m, her parents got the balance, we built the acct beyond the requirement. All the funds hit my savings account in less than 24hrs and I rushed to the bank to print it. she now sent the statement and passport to them as Instructed. She got the visa oo. She's done with her Msc already.

The moral of my epistle, God factor dey work for sure, with a good application, devoid of fraud. Even if you made mistakes on your documentation, it will be overlooked. I had told a visa officer my wrong date of birth before during an interview and she corrected me herself. I plainly apologised cos I had sleepless nights prior to my interview date due to workload tied to a deadline. I worked all night preceding my interview date. Some VOs won't joke over that. It's refusal immediately.

Hello everyone, please I need your inputs on something i've been trying to clarify on behalf of my sister. She's currently in the UK, and she submitted an application for both Canada work visa and Canada PR while still in the UK. She already has a visiting visa, and Here are my questions:
1) She did her medicals last week for the work visa, and this week she got medical request for the PR. Can she use the same biometrics and medicals for both work visa and PR?
2) She wants to travel to Canada on visiting visa this week, while still awaiting approval for the work visa. Can she submit her passport in Canada for her work visa, even if she applied in the UK?
Thank you all for your inputs.
. i am very sure about the biometrics, it's for 10 years. For the medicals, it depends on the type of test, they wish her to do in a particular VIsa. if it is the same type of test? then she wont to repeat it but if its a different group of test? she will do another one. but for the biometrics, she doesn't need another one till 10 years time, so check the expiry date of the biometrics date .

So, according to the poster, even if one makes a mistake in one's application, it will approved? Continue! I have no words.
