Great!

I also wondered how the Executive was going to singlehandedly amend the provisions of the current Act that were already mentioned to be adjusted, such as some of the eligibility requirements.

I repeat, stop subsidising University education. Basic education (literacy) must be free as a right, but tertiary education must be charged, with Universities being the highest tuition fees.

University education is not by force. Everyone must not be a university graduate for the country to develop.

Charge freely as needed to better run the universities.

Nigerians have money to spend on UK and US education, so let them spend it here in Nigeria with improved facilities.

They quickly approve billions for their cars, their house renovations, 500 million each to themselves, 3 trillion padded budget with ease. Approves billions for Akpabio to buy freezers for his constituency, and hundreds of billions for themselves to steal.
But things that common man like you will benefit, like minimum wage, school loan, they keep delaying it and making empty promises of today tomorrow, yet you still have the gut to support the same govt.
Cost of living is costing the lives of the livings like you.
At this point, ask yourself with the reality on ground, why should I still support this govt?
Where is your common sense?
Before you come to make political statements on me, check my profile, I have long left the godforsaken country, so this is not politically motivated but pity for the country.

Bro asking those miscrants question is like fuking a mad woman with your eyes closed. Alot of them prefer to suffer than have good leadership. When u understand how deep tribalism is you will give up trying change there mindset.

You forgot to mention the money they shared for padding budget . Ndume burst their bubbles again. He said he received over 200m naira lol. Where's Jimoh Ibrahim threatening brimstone? Awon ole

Only in Nigeria under the apc would the senators act like cultists, doing everything in a way that is not transparent to the public who out them there and anyone with conscience among them, who tries to expose them would be severely punished , if not suspended. I pity those defending them. Slaves!

Pulling up the drawbridge after you have made it to the other side bah? The IMF will be proud of your SAP-inducing answer.

In an era when new technologies are allowing foreign actors to carve up Africa one region at a time, yet again; do you not think your people can benefit from tertiary education in increasing numbers? How do you get your people to engage with the fourth industrial revolution (4IR), knowing full well that they were absent from the first three - if you do not raise their education profile?

Do you know the average enrolment rate in Sub-Sahara Africa is still only 9.4%, despite a global enrolment rate that increased from just 19% in 2000 to 40% in 2020?

According to UNESCO, only Algeria, Botswana, Egypt, Mauritius, Morocco, Namibia, South Africa and Tunisia have a tertiary gross enrolment rate of more than 20%. GER is the total enrolment in a specific level of education, regardless of age, expressed as a percentage of the population in the official age group corresponding to a particular level of education.

Nothing has been done in trial an error, the scheme itself is yet to be rolled out. No law is written on stone and if any law requires to be amended that is why the national assembly is there.
Some of you just criticize everything without thinking.

The government can start it even without the law or while the law is still being implemented.

The school feeding program, the n-power program and so on did not go through any law enactment and yet over 5 trillion was spent on these programs throughout Buhari's tenure.

Tinubu can start it while the thing is going through the process of becoming law so that every government will follow after him to do it, but he does not need any law to start it.

Tinubu is just a deceitful person, This bill can take who knows how long before it will be implemented, Tinubu is just buying time, I doubt he has the intention of doing it and even if he does he doesn't want to take the blame if the program fails to work...
