This guy is a kid. And it's very obvious many folks on this thread don't own or control any business. Before yarning dust, it's better you take a look into the life of the drummer first. The drummer should give an account of how he lived first.
it's irrelevant how he lived his life...the K1 guy did they tell you he lived his life to morally acceptable standard..did you read anywhere he gifted him with gifts worth millions or landed properties and he squandered it

You lots just open your mouth and call somebody you don't know a kid simply because he didn't support your narrative. I will let that slide Mr so-called ADULT.

Damage control , don't waste people's life to achieve your own goals while leaving them in emptiness.

That's it! Most of those you see with wealth up and down, that's their way. People are being used as a means to an end

Mtchew. It doesn't matter how he lives his life you say. What has moral standard got to do with financial discipline and knowledge?

Truthfully speaking, after his monthly salary, Kwam1 owe him nothing as his boss. But for humanity sake cos we are in this world to lift each other up, it isn't bad if Kwam1 gift that man a house or at least a car after serving him for over 30 years.

That man is part of those that contributed to Kwam1 's success. Take it or leave it!

Which ever way, I so wish d man all the best if he's truly saying d truth and may divine help locate him real soon. Amen !

Hmm.

“ The issue between Ayankunle and K1 remains child’s play compared to those mentioned above.”

If it is child’s play as stated above by KWAM”s PR man, then why allow it fester or get out of hand?

For me, Barrister and KWAM remain the greatest Fuji musicians. Their songs are easily danceable and enjoyable, irrespective of tribe. Wasiu has always lived a very organized life. His house was not far from mine in those days in Okota. Even Barrister’s house that got burnt was close to mine.

I am of the opinion that something is deeply wrong. There are several probabilities. The man did not claim that he was owed. How is it that someone else built houses, but he did not build one? How did he travel to the UK in 1996, spent 6 years and returned to the same house? What happened to his wages? Were his wages so poor that he could not get a piece of land somewhere for even 50,000 since 32 years? How is it that he could not purchase a piece of land even somewhere in Ogun state?

You cannot be in Davido’s group, or Burna boy, etc and claim to have wasted your years. These instrumentalists are they power behind the group.

Again have the band boys been put on oath? Are there things that they are forced to do traditionally that some of them reject?

I hope this matter is quickly resolved.

Therein lies the mystery.

Wasiu gets performance charge and still make several millions from hyping guest who dances to the creativities of his drummers

Beyond salaries, there are other ways expected to show kindness and appreciation to those who kept you at the top for several years and still standing

Mega 99 is bought plots of land, named is megacity and gave plots to his band members.

Wasiu is a bad wicked guy even to his low level fans,

Go and check all the people who foolishly lavished their monies on him, today they are all poor.

The drummers and their drums are usually diabolically tuned ....let me stop here

You spoke my mind. He's a stingy man to the core and late Gbenga Adeboye even mocked him on this in one of his jokes. He released an album mocking him as well. Adewale Ayuba had drummers. They're well made. King Sunny Ade who the PR guy ignorantly mentioned built houses for his band members , likewise Chief Ebenezer obey and late Barry wonder. Barrister tried discouraging his boys from Japaing after the first experience which happened decades ago when his band members ran away after a show abroad by settling them well.
K1 is known for being stingy. Business is business, oh yes! But can someone dance to a music that's watery? It takes a team spirit to produce good music with all members playing their roles. Your voice alone can't produce good music as a musician.

K1 should rather look at the allegations and do the needful. Black man with wickedness and greed.

An individual who lives recklessly....like they said he (K1) sleeps with anything underneath the skirt ...if care is not taken and he continue therein won't that have an adverse effect on his finance and by extension he contacts one deadly ailment or the other which can lead him to go broke.

I still maintain my stand K1 knows he can do better than just paying salary to a guy who have been with him for 32years ...and to think that an ADULT like you expect him to own mansions all over the world with that same salary goes along way to really define your personality.

From the narrations of both sides, it is obvious the drummer planned to abscond during some Europe tour and his plan was bursted which led to retrieving passport immediately they return or arrive any country.

Although, K1 cannot be 💯 too good but I suspect the drummer.

"If a boy he brought to the band built 2 houses and the 3rd on completion"

That testimony alone should tell you, the drummer is not accountable to himself.

as member of a Fuji band no agreed salary but the leader will be able to settle the boys according to the band acceptability by the public and general income. That's why they were called BAND.

Let us see evidences of his paid salary. Also I can understand taking passports while out of the country. However the drummer alleged that passports were not returned upon arrival in Nigeria.

Spending 32 years and not achieving anything is your problem bro. He (K1) took some of his band members abroad and reports had it that they absconded, which paved way for someone like you, to join the band after.

I'm not trying to take sides here. But if he owes you no wages you have no right to criticize him.

In everything the drummer has said, I can't recall where he mentioned Wasiu owed him money.

If you don't like the way he's treating you, you're free to take a walk.

The other time a Pakistani airhostess fled to Canada. To get visa hard talk more of sponsoring drummers that will end up absconding.

So I can understand why he would hold on to their passports so as not to ruin his business.

Many musicians, even regular bosses have bad character but it's the hazard of working with such people.

The question is how much salary or wages are we talking about after 32 year that's more than half of his life working for k1.

There should be more benefits than salary/wages after 32 years of service if u ask me. undecided

Baba don engage PR....

Buh on a serious note how can you even work for someone for up to 10yrs and you can't point to one single thing personally if any worker after 10yrs can't point to one thing is either they're reckless in dere spending or maybe the pay isn't enough....

And business is business so far isn't owing any wages if he promise you 30k as monthly salary and his keeping to that you can't come online to cry even if he makes 30billion from it...

You're the one who just need to look for another means maybe by resigning and look for another job buh u sit down for 30yrs hoping to get a reward when dem no tie ur destiny down...

When you're working with someone no matter what try have a little side hustle if you can't run it pass it to ur wife or employ someone....

30yrs without no results that's a total waste of time and a wasted time can never be recovered....

You are actually very spot-on with your points. But one thing about working for some one man business is that they often pay (albeit very low wages) without due recourse to prevailing reality. For example, some will truly not owe you salaries but they will be paying 10naira for "one hundred years" grin and a promise to do you bigger things inthe future.
That's how time will pass and one will remain stagnant or in or position for years upon years despite working hard and dedicated. Tomorrow when any issue arises, like in this case, they will justify the fact that "I have never owe salaries" so that is the staff's business if they did not progress in life...

By so doing you are motivating them and keeping thier loyalty intact and who will want to abscond when he have the opportunity knowing fully well how the boss treats you. This useless attitude is common here even in celebration periods some employers will not even deem it fit to give employees as little as rice, oil name it to take home ...weather you like it or not it's motivates and these employers are cashing out large .
