You have your answer there. I will say it depends on what Interest rate you get which determines how much you will be paying vs How much you think you can get as interest if you invest the money. (E.g. you pay 7% interest but can get 10% guaranteed if invested, then it makes sense to have money and pay minimum down payment)

Reality is that most times that returns you think you can get by investing might not turn out so(except you invest in govt notes) and you will still have a car loan

If you can, pay for the car. If not do a heavy down payment and prepare to pay the loan at an accelerated manner not just the minimum so that the amount of interest you pay is reduced

I prefer earning interest vs Paying interest (Plus the additional thing about peace of mind) Should you lose a job or fall on hard times, you don't have to worry about another monthly gbese to service

Interest on savings account is about 4.3% while interest paid on car finance is 9 to 10%.
I need a car that’ll take me the next 7 to 10 years which is why I need to change my 2014 model…. The current market value is just too low and I fear the worse
