It should be possible. Gene editing has the potential to cure (different from treatment) many diseases. The issue for Big Pharma is how to structure the industry for one-off and one-time cures rather than recurring treatments. But yes, CRISPR and, who knows, a newer technique can cure HIV. It is just that the Chinese are not focused on HIV, if not, I envisage them to begin research into it. But if the money is right, Chinese will do dive in.  5 Likes 2 Shares |
