coming from a Nigerian governor.
Maybe there's hope. a pinch

I expect more from him, because he's not a regular politician (Not that he's stain free ooo) but he's expected to be relatively better

I dont live in Abia but I've always been there at yearly intervals right from the time of Orji Uzoh Kalu, I know what the state look like during those periods and I have always been one of those that condemn the in- activities of the supposed governors, though I haven't traveled to that state since Otti assumed office but from the situation reporting so far I can bet it that he'd already superceded whatever the other three governors before him could have done.

Now you see why it's not good to base your reactions on comments on hearsay.
At least now you can hear directly from an unbiased Aba resident.
Orji Uzor Kalu started well, hence the tag, Action Governor. He tarred many roads and even streets in Aba,but unfortunately, some of those roads have dilapidated. But later on in his administration,he stopped performing A lot of things went wrong. His mum became literally in charge of the state, but one thing,OUK never owed civil servants. His administration was marred by the terrible acts of the bakassi group.

TA Orji came on board. Abia felt none impact of his governance. He disengaged civil servants of Igbo but none Abia origins. He owed workers. There was this particular incident where he was pelted with pure water satchets in Aba, when he visited a certain Catholic church. Abia was at its lowest ebb then.... dilapidated and decayed infrastructure.

He handed over power to Okezie Ikpeazu. Okezie did his bit, part of his legacy being the Osisioma flyover, which took him 8 years to complete. People mocked him in that regard but any how,he completed it and it's very functional and has reduced the perennial holdups around that axis.
Okezie also constructed and rehabilitated major roads in Aba....Ngwa road,Brass/Faulks road,Osusu road,Omuma road, Ukaegbu road and other major road around Ogborhill, and many other roads here in Aba, though some of those jobs were poorly done,he would often order a repeat, for instance, the Brass-Faulks road axes. He relocated the major abbatoir otherwise called Slaughter to its current location. He also constructed deeper drainages to ease the problem of flooding in Aba, though some of those drainages were left open, without slabs! That was dangerous! He started the construction of the ultra modern shopping malls in Ariaria market. I think he commissioned two of those malls few days before handover. In terms of waste management,he did much better than his predecessors though in the twilight of his administration, for whatever political reasons,he abandoned that sector, hence Aba became so filthy. Otti had to declare a state of emergency on refuse immediately on resumption of duty. To me, Okezie Ikpeazu laid the foundation for the modern day Aba look.
His wasn't perfect. He owed the civil servants months and months of backlog of salaries, pension and gratuities. He failed to construct the very important Port Harcourt road in Aba even after demolishing some houses along the road. He had his many faults but that didn't mean he was a complete failure. Thing is he had very poor media team.

Now, Governor Alex Otti has come on board. He has declared zero potholes here in Aba. He is filling up potholes on the roads to make for smoother rides while also constructing new roads. He's putting up more shopping malls in Ariaria. I think he's on a good footing but what I am worried about is the rate at which he takes loans. He saw to the re-accreditation of Abia state university teaching hospital, which accreditation was withdrawn during Ikpeazu's administration. Some people have accused Otti of operating high cost of governance. His media team have sworn never to see or mention any good done by Ikpeazu which is not fair.
Otti,at the rate he's going will do better than his predecessor but let him reduce his loan collection rate.
Aba has a high IGR.

Talking about a 24/7 light, there's a bit of an improvement but not yet a 24/7 thingy.

Aba people love Otti.
But his team should stop playing blame games and focus on governance.

Have you gone to Abia and see for yourself? Is not everything that you must politicize. All because you're a Tinubu supporter

Every Govt Administration takes loan but in different degrees and for different purposes.

Tinubu should go and take lessons from Alex.
Not just promising heaven and earth but doing anything.

The most unfortunate part is Tinubu is untrustworthy
Which lessons. The state governments are getting the type of allocation that they have never gotten before courtesy of tinubu's policies of subsidy removal on PMS and fx.

Another one is coming through requirement of TCC for fx transactions.

Come up with a stronger argument or forever keep your mouth shut.
If there's any single road or street or facility or flyover constructed by Okezie Ikpeazu which you are enjoying without admitting to such, may good not embrace you.
U curse easily instead of coming up with a stronger point to counteract my stance.
Don't be blinded by hate.

You are a midiocre and you keep celebrating that, no time to minx words with you, just accept his development to be a yard stick for your generation that's all.

I repeat,if there's a single thing done by Ikpeazu which you or your family members are enjoying, then may good never knock on your door. Even if Okezie Ikpeazu didn't do so well, the hatred you guys have for him is so palpable and murderous. What audacity!

Do you hate TA Orji in same manner?

By the way, I'm done MINCING words with one who can't spell mince.

Smart Governor

Interest-Free Loans: Islamic bank loans do not involve the payment or charging of interest. Instead, Islamic banks provide financing through profit-sharing arrangements or by purchasing and then reselling assets to the borrower at a markup.
But still try to find a way around getting something in return!
