Osun State Governor, Ademola Adeleke, has set up an eight-man panel that would implement the report and the white paper of the committee that reviewed contracts awarded by the administration of the immediate past governor, Mr Adegboyega Oyetola.

Adeleke took over from Oyetola on November 27, 2022, and since then, the two men have endured a frosty relationship.

Shortly after taking over the reign of government, Adeleke set up the contract review committee through an executive order.

According to a statement by the spokesperson for the governor, Olawale Rasheed, obtained in Osogbo on Thursday, the new panel was charged with enforcing the recommendations of that original review committee and the subsequent white paper approved by the State Executive Council.


The statement read, “Terms of reference of the panel include enforcing the recommendations in the committee report and white paper, ensuring prosecution of culprits through relevant agencies and implementing all institutional recommendations to prevent reoccurrence of distortions in contract award and management.

“The committee is expected to commence operations immediately by giving effect to each of the committee recommendations as approved by the State Executive Council.”

The state chairman of the All Progressives Congress, Tajudeen Lawal, in a statement, described the setting up of the implementation committee as a ploy to cover up mismanagement by the present administration uncovered by the opposition party.


Lawal said it was “funny that an administration that awarded road/flyover contract to the serving deputy speaker of the state House of Assembly without following the due process would now suddenly consider the setting up of an implementation panel of the White Paper on the Contract Review Committee?

“We wondered that why was it a day after our party accused Governor Adeleke of awarding state road/flyover contracts to his brother and nephew that he(Adeleke) suddenly considered it expedient to set up an implementation committee?

“Adeleke should thread softly as Osun people are now wiser and knowledgeable enough to read the true motive of his action meant to unjustifiably victimise the opposition for having the effrontery to catalogue the series of frauds his government is perpetrating against the state in the name of prosecution of legacy projects.”

This man has been governor over two years now and the only nationally recognized achievements are claiming glory for past projects, borehole and dancing.

If you want to criticize, at least make sure you get your fact right. When was Adeleke sworn that you're saying he has spent over two years. Do you know what you are saying at all?

My second question: are you from Osun State?
Even though Adeleke may have not been having a sterling performance, he is trying in some aspects. If you want to do criticism, don't do it from the place of bitterness. I have never or heard anywhere that dancing is a sin or an offense. There are many past and present Governors that look serious, but their administrations were/are nothing to write home about. Leave him to his dancing, at least he has reached a milestone in life. How many so called 'not-dancing' people. can boast of that achievement?

However my concern is that Oyetola and other criminal ex governors like Yahaya bello and even ganduje may never do terms for their embezzlement of public funds


This probe will is just a charade, last last nothing go happen, that’s always the pattern


If not, person like ganduje, oyetola, akpabio, Bello, etc their graves for don open mouth had it been they were Chinese officials, that’s if they even have any identified grave cos they would have been executed

You need to consider Oyetola's failure through the eyes of his predecessors excesses and unperceived failure.

Oyetola tried to stop borrowing and clear the backlogs that was being owned hence why I find it difficult to criticise him. Aregbesola was trying to build an airport that I didn't know how the state or the airport itself was going to be self sustaining. Despite Aregbesola's successes, he still had several failed projects

Was he not part of that same administration of excesses and so called unperceived failure..stop defending failure, if his hands are clean the probe will lay it to bare. As regards whether or not adeleke is performing, are you currently in Osun? The same excesses of the past administration can be used as an excuse for his unperceived failure as well...if you're currently not in the state stop typing rubbish.
