You are welcome bro. Jesus Himself confirms your last paragraph in the book of Matthew 22:36-40, as the highest commandment when the people asked him, after loving God, wholeheartedly. Your neighbour is whoever you're able to extend that hand of love to, it could be maids, the man or woman next t door who's in dire need, a common man on the streets. Nobody knows what tomorrow will bring.

Sadly, many Christians only do good where they expect something in return or wherever people will see them and shower praises on them for it. By doing this, they've received their rewards already. It's the bible who says this, not me.

As an undergraduate, I almost dropped out cos funding was nowhere to come by. My parents and uncles did their best. There was this man whom God used for me. About 15 years later, things took a bad turn for him. God used me to relocate him to the US. Now his story had changed forever for good. He's built a wonderful house in Lag, which only big boys in Nigeria could dabble into. This man was selling bread in front of his wife's make-shift container tailoring shop at some point.

The attached was the message he sent to me on my birthday recently. Imagine he turned his face away from me that time, would I have ever thought of him? There are several people like him whom God has used me to elevate. Guess what? God has never stopped blessing me. When you Heed his instructions, you get your reward, simple. Good health is one of them, no be everything be money. Many don't even know they're blessed because of poor people around them

You have gained a new follower in me Sir. Keep up the kindness and keep sharing your words of faith wherever necessary, your words are truly inspirational and faith building.

Most pastors that preached spiritual power, are now preaching Hard work and diligence.

Perhaps, it's not all Faith, and it's not all Works.

Faith and work...but Faith must dey der, and work too must be applied also.

It has always been in the Bible o...but these guys preach more Faith than work- claiming that the physical is controlled by the spiritual.
Once you get your spiritual right, the physical lines will fall unto you in pleasant places.

People go to church, pray and worship, join church groups...but have not repented from some vices. Even pastor seem to be having anger issues sometimes.

Why God no dey help repentance as swiftly as before?
Those early year 2000s, you'll get born again and your life transforms instantly.
But these days, people stand, sing and dance on the pulpit -unrepentant.

Perseverance is very important. Nothing good comes easy. More so with the things of God, for with man it is impossible but with God all things are possible Matt. 19v26.

We must learn to persevere in faith when things are not going our way.

We are told to work out our salvation. We can't give up because we are failing, we keep going until we reach our goal. God sees our efforts and helps our weakness.

We may fall many times a day but we won't give up until we are perfect as He is perfect Matt 5v48.

My brother, stop wasting time on unnecessary things. It doesn't matter if you need to be stirred up in the spirit by songs, chants or even a recording of a previous prayer session. Maybe you can't pray without Theophilus or Pst. Lawrence Oyor's chants playing in the background. It doesn't matter. All that matters is that you show up everyday at the appointed time.

There is a spirit of prayer. Continue the motions. No matter how hard it is. Strike with many blows. No matter how discouraged you are. It is the Holy Ghost that helps our infirmities.

The only "discipline" that matters is showing up and asking the Holy Spirit to help you pray. One day you'll be baptised by the spirit of prayer and you wouldn't recognize yourself anymore.

But it is like a disease now that if you don't act or follow this style, you'll see many questioning even your salvation. Pray, tell, is this confusion from the Holy Spirit? So the spirit is the one that inspired "being in the mood with music" before prayer can be offered? Or before one can successfully pray? Elijah asked them to bring him a minstrel to play. And when the minstrel started playing the hand of the Lord came upon him and he started to prophesy (2kings 3:15). Maybe you should ask Elijah the bolded question.

Actually I'm in a telegram group dominated heavily by Indians and in that group, they share Christian books.
In Japan, the popular old Christian animation super book and flying house was made and aired in the country (TV Tokyo).

Now I can tell you that most of us don't need music anymore to pray. The new wave is coming. Revival is coming. Keep finding fault while we keep ascending.

many Christians think going to church is what makes you a child of God.
i have a churchy neighbours who will carry like 2/3 girls every week, every day Na blues and love songs he dey take dey support his knackings while Sunday Morning Na worship and Christian song before going to church.

So, have you changed your mind from your "repenting of sins" to faith alone in Christ?
Have you changed your mind from false ways to heaven to the true way to heaven?

Have you changed your mind from trusting yourself to trusting the savior?
Joh 3:16 For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.
He did not say whosoever repent of sins will have everlasting life.

Nope! How can it be easier? Your natural sin life you were born it? Do you teach children to lie? Nevertheless, as we trust in the power of God to help us, renew our mind constantly so as not to conform with the world's system, it becomes less difficult day by day. But it's never easy. It's a narrow gate and narrow way requiring sacrifice and steadfastness. But the other broad way is wide enough to accommodate everyone, with their sins, vices and self and coast them along easily to distruction.
