Mercy Akide is the Assistant Director of Teams/Director of Community Programming for Steel United, Virginia, a youth football team in the United States where she lives with her husband, Colin Udoh, a well known sports journalist.

She has coached many youth teams in the United States and she was the first CAF African Women's Footballer of the Year, a title that she won in 2001.

I believe that she and her husband went to watch Oshoala's game against Washington Spirit in DC.
