Should have tested them all. Loss na loss.

forgiveness:
This coach nobi am. I noticed he doesn't want to play some set of players in a friendly. Finidi out.

One thing I have realized about the SE since Gernot Rohr took over the team until now is that the team has lost confidence, especially when it comes to ball possession. The team just doesn't have that confidence on the ball the Nigerian team is famous for. It's actually embarrassing to see the Malians holding the ball with more confidence than the Eagles.

The players are just starting to learn how to play real football again, after Rohr and the last coach stifled their ball playing confidence.

I tire! You have Fisayo on the bench and you played both Nacho and Ndidi for 90 minutes of a game you knew might make/mar you? I don't get it?

iheanacho is only good one on one with the keeper aside that he is useless

A nice watch.

I will give it to the coach of the Malians. The team is well oiled and look in sync. Nice watching them.

Nigeria 2 Ghana 1

Naija fans: Finidi is good enough. Just support him with enough funds and coaching crew. Foreign coaches are overrated.

Nigeria 0 Mali 2

Naija fans: Local coaches are not good enough. We need foreign coach asap.

We don’t have enough ball playing players, reason paseiro pattern of play in the afcon.

Ndidi and Nacho no dey the match at all

I was expecting him to sub iheanacho for a winger maybe tella or Mola then ndidi for Yusuf

Assuming we were starting to build I would have kept faith with Finidi. At this point, We need a coach wirh the magic wand because WC qualifiers is up.
Egbo vs Pedro for me. The rest should getat abeg. Enough of Experiment. We missed WC 2022 so any appointment should not be normal business as usual but restoring fear factor and trashing any footballer that doesn't want to hop on to greatness like that backline we saw tonight. We need a system of play and break down of opponents. Infact one that will make Team B a force as well. Till then....

I agree but we can’t be patient with Finidi at this point, although he seems to have already established his style on the players. Another win would have convinced people.

To me that’s not the issue. A good coach makes do with what he has by deploying a tactics that will suit his team and not expose their deficiencies

NFF please toy with the world cup qualifying matches in June by retaining Finidi or appointing Ladan Bosso or Amunike...na sos message be this...

Nonsense football and tactic....make them go out of them comfort zone apply for job na SE job dey them eye....

Shows how scratchy his in game adjustments are overall. Besides, Iwobi dropped so deep beyond normal and so Dessers will suffer. All times that one dropped to get ball, nobody dey to receive so na gift to Mali. See how it led to 2nd goal. Smh

When you guys analyze football you expressly think you are some high and mighty that could just walk into the field and handed victory.

Firstly , the Malians have a good team.

Secondly, the SE have no creative midfielder. Who is that player that could hold the ball and soak up the pressure from the Malians.

Before this game I was rooting for Finidi but after this eyesore...

Mali brought on players and they completely changed the game and scored but you stood there making just one sub in 90 minutes of a friendly! And you want this job? Are you kidding me right now? Abeg, I no wan see this guy even as Assistant!

You have Fisayo, Alhassan, and Tella and none of them played in over 180 minutes of two friendlies, even Lookman was brought on less than 20 minutes to the end of the game. Just Wow!

even blind man knows that our local coaches aren’t good enough

No matter the insult I get here about it I will never support employing any of them to coach the super eagles

What the Malians did is simple which is to choke the midfield and close or midfielders down when ever they re with the ball which resulted to too much back passes from our midfielders and defenders

To be honest, a little tweak in tactic and personnel and we would be playing a decent football.

When you have a team that presses high like Mali did, you bait them and go long. In this formation, Nacho and Iwobi were doing what Ndidi and Onyedika were supposed to do. Nacho and Iwobi being part of the front three should be dropping between the lines at the final phase of the build up instead of dropping deep.

And I don't know how to compare this but our pressing is poor. We are too relaxed when the opponent have the ball.

All the best sha.

These local coaches are best as assistants. Until they go pump up CV enough to be chased by other countries before we suppose dey take them seriously ever again. See the women legends pumping up CV sotey if Randy step down tomorrow, we get 6 Ex internationals that have robust CV to take over.

They have refused to upgrade. Take for instance, the like of Elneny, Jorginho and Fabregas are now working towards obtaining their coaching license. I can't name just one local coach with a standard coaching license in Nigeria. Na to dey do magomago Dem Sabi. Just imagine the excuse the mugu wey carry U20 go AAG was making.

Yes, we don't have such players and even our defenders are not so creative with the ball. I remember Chidi Odia and Balogun. We don't have such presence in our defense.

What we have now are bunch of strikers. The Eagles need midfielders. I am tired of Iwobi

I trust PESEIRO if Boniface was available. He will definitely stick to is 4-2-4 formation at AFCON.

He's right actually. We don't. We need midfield personnel still. That's why Iwobi and Nacho overworked themselves. With that useless collins with dyed head. Guy was just existing on wing to be passed to and pass back. Nothing new by him. I've said what we need up there so iwobi can focus on his primary duty. Till then. For now.... Finidi don try. But it's not what we need

bring in Mola and tella then stretch play as well as instruct the full backs to bump forward more

This tactics I believe would hv distabilized the Malian midfield

I saw improvement in our play and a chance to develop an identity. However, we need to take scouting seriously and understand Finidi will need time.

They're not even good as assistants sef. You be Arsenal fan na. Imagine what Joker, Carlos, Albert are doing behind the scene at Arsenal. These are assistant coaches that you can call on to undertake a match in Arteta's absence. But for here in naija, na to dey drag jersey with another player Dem Sabi. shameless lots.
