The MF we're not providing passing channels for the DF. Ndidi was not in his elements and I can't blame him since he is just coming back from injury. For those on Nachos neck. Pls cut him some slack. The pass to Dessers came from him. And he was the one that made attempt to score after driving thru the MF to the final 3rd. The players simply did not put their foot on the ground. Even pulling out from 50-50 balls. |

I don't really understand how we watch football. The only thing that is making us not winning this game is the personnel. A nigeria team possessing the ball is phenomenal. I love the way the guys play though some players didn't help with the set up. Besides this is a friendly match. Finidi is sound. 5 Likes |

TheGoodJoe:Passes don't win match, goals do. Wirtz scored within 8 seconds of KO with just one pass from Kroos. Your tikitaka team would have passed the ball through Abule Egba, Surulere, Ketu, Ikeja and Ikorodu before the the ball go reach the final third. 10 Likes 2 Shares |

Immediately, Simon went off, he should have brought on Lookman and move Iheanacho to number 9. The Malians coach subs completely turned the game around and they got the second goal. charlesemeka85: 1 Like |

Apart from Iwobi, that midfield was totally non-existent. That second goal should never have happened. Dessers lost the ball as far back as the Malians' side of the pitch and the Malians ended up going past all our midfielders like they were nothing. The midfielders showed very little willingness to recover the ball. They had time to recover but didn't. Iheanacho and Iwobi had to drop deep to try to create something and that affected us upfront. Most of our passes were either too short to an already marked player, thereby putting unnecessary pressure on that player to keep the ball, or directly to our opponents. We also made too many back passes. It was a terrible game from the SE, all round. 5 Likes 1 Share |

Goke7: I disagree. We need to keep building. Look at how refreshing Mali moved the ball. It is development that took them there. Not chicken football. |

Well if Finidi thought he had a chance to get the full coaching job, that terrible display of tactical cataclysm on his part has most likely ruined or drastically reduced his odds now. I'll get abused for this, but the likes of Finidi, Amunike etc aren't just good enough, or ready yet...for us to navigate through the murky fixtures of the World Cup qualifiers vs tough opponents like SA and Benin republic, we will need tried and tested tournament foreign coaches like Conceicao and the Angolan former coach who is also on the shortlist for the SE position. Finidi is a legend and will always be a likeable guy, but the SE job is a big ask for him, he should jejely return to his Enyimba job, he was called to national duty and he obliged with no complaints, so thanks to him on that. And lastly the likes of Awaziem, Omeruo, Collins, Dessers and Osayi have no place in the SE if we truly want to be serious, even Senior man Kelz isn't it anymore. Finidi woefully failed to utilize the friendly window by testing out the likes of Nathan Tella, Dele-Bashiru etc...another chance missed to access our depth! Surely without the likes of Ekong, Bassey, Onyeka, Boniface, Osimhen and probably Awoniyi we're just another 2nd tier African team. 5 Likes 2 Shares |

charlesemeka85: Haba na. Na to look for o. If we want to succeed. We can't keep cutting corners. It's not helping. It's not do or die either. But we can't have such firepower upfront in this era and not consider that topmost priority. Especially as we are eager to return to the mundial. |
