Man City have scored a goal straight from a long pass from Ederson the goalkeeper to the striker and goal. Does that mean Man City does not play possession football?
But they have results to show for it. We clearly doubled Mali's number of passes yet they won with two goals. Moreso, Pep doesn't play tikitaka like before. Baba don upgrade

The 2games was to prove that he should be prioritized for the job. The other managers didn't have that chance. A sensible coach would be very very careful to do exactly what is right. You saw the way that midfield was playing and didn't bother doing anything different. Tella come warm bench. Moses injured and no instant tactical tweak to sustain attack mode. Malians didn't even need tweak anything until 75th min and it led to goal. We are AFCON finalists. They aren't. What are we talking about sef.

Apart from Victor Boniface that can challenge Victor Osmihen non of our back up striker is fighting for the position of 9 with Victor Osmihen. I saw Cyril Dessers in today match he did not impressed me at all
Awoniyi is trying too but injury has been limiting his chances.

Yes, we don't have such players and even our defenders are not so creative with the ball. I remember Chidi Odia and Balogun. We don't have such presence in our defense.

What we have now are bunch of strikers. The Eagles need midfielders. I am tired of Iwobi
shocked shocked shocked

The Mali team has been training and improving. We have been parking bus since Rohr and not developing our midfield. It will prove difficult to dominate a team like Mali in just two games and few sessions.

I saw improvement in our play and a chance to develop an identity. However, we need to take scouting seriously and understand Finidi will need time.

We are saying there is no luxury of time for national team coaches!!!!!!!! You can't compare national teams to clubs. Clubs have the required time frame to perfect tactics. It took Arteta about 3 years to get Arsenal to this level. How many years do you think it will take Finidi or Amunike or whatever to get the SE to speed?

There's no guarantee any foreign coach will just come in and switch thing up with just a snap of his fingers.

We seem to have forgotten the stinker Peseiro dropped against Zimbabwe and Lesotho.

Let the main guys come back and we'd ball. It's just the fringe players not giving a good account of themselves.

Finidi messed up with his sub.

Last statement is irrelevant because we play heavy possession football.

Mali won because their transitions are smoother and this comes with time. However, Finidi has shown he can improve the team.

It will not happen overnight.

The fact is their rep is reducing and they need to step up like their female counterparts at least. None can't even get a spot on a coaching crew in Europe?? Is it that bad?

For those rooting for a foreigner should understand that non will jettison their pattern for the defend with your lives we did at AFCON. Pjes was the most clueless coach until AFCON. Lesotho outplayed us here and got a draw. Zim outplayed us away and we were lucky to get a draw. Finidi should be kept on the job. This team under him will come good. At least I was impressed with their pattern of play in the 2nd half. Dessers is not ready for the GWG jersey. Fact.

How many years did we spend with Rohr and Peseiro? Those ended up being wasted year's. No time ideology leads to wasted year's. Better you have a plan for development and give the coach time.

We have been in this no time business for decades. Until we stop that no time development and focus on building a good side, we will keep running in circles.
