Delusions and optimism are not the same thing.

Ask yourself, what advantages does a billionaire get for adopting an adult? I hope you know that adoption is only possible for minors right?

Elsewhere in the world, that holds. However, in Japan, adults, especially males, can be adopted by a much senior male, and enjoy the same rights and privileges as a biological son. Unfortunately, OP is not an ethnic Japanese nor residing in the country.

Yea I just saw that now on Wikipedia. Most people adopted in Japan are adults. Wow. Cultural differences is the key here.

Not just that, he also have to ask himself what's the gain for a billionaire to adopt him.

Why not to be adopted by anybody? But he specifically wants a billionaire. As if there is a billionaire out there that wants unnecessary liability.
