raumdeuter: How much do u think a driver in Ikere Ekiti charge to drive his boss? How much do u think a maid in Ikere Ekiti gets paid? Now let's go to their boss who earns N200k per month. How much is a liter of fuel in Ikere Ekiti ? (I'm sure fuel costs more in Ekiti than Lagos). How much will he spend on minor issues to the car? How much will he spend to stock his house for food in Ikere Ekiti? How much will he spend on his child's school fees? Onyeama head no just correct with that statement cos there's absolutely nowhere in Nigeria 200k will be enough to spend on those things. 2 Likes |

GloriousGbola: He might live in Lagos but he has connections all over Nigeria. The majority of Nigerians still live outside Lagos. In places in Oyo there are jobs where graduates are offered 50 to 70k So 200k is like times 3 of that. Shey we never see adverts for jobs on this same thread offering someone a job of 120k In Lagos. How much does a secondary school principal earn and in many non Lagos communities a principal is a big man As at 2017, a friend who finished University electrical electronics was earning 30k as a private school teacher in Ekiti state and he has a family |

BlueRayDick: Na this one. I was following the last discussion on feeding. The average person spends like 2k on food a day if he eats twice. Even cooking will not be considerably cheaper. By the time you remove transportation. Wetin remain from 200k a month? 2 Likes |

GloriousGbola: Maybe because he is not the online type, he might not really get affected by online trolling and cyber bullying; but he has made his brand popular for the wrong reasons. He should just have let go when he still could. I'm sure a whole lot of groups and coalition will make the story dry. What he doesn't know is that even when he's old and dies, his family members who eventually take over the company may still be dealing with the negative publicity to the brand |

BlueRayDick: A 3 bedroom flat in some places in Ibadan rent for 5k a month and 60k a year So those nodding their heads might not be far from the truth When itsrm told you how much he pays for rent in Port Harcourt he looked like a liar |
Re: EPL Chatroom - All Discussions by GloriousGbola: 1:22pm On Mar 28 |
BlueRayDick: He has a website. Some cyber activists can hack it. They could also hack his company emails and really escalate this. |

Itsrm: U get. There are even some things that appear to be miscellaneous but cost money nowadays; all these small dettol bath soap cost like N300 - N350, detergent and bar soap for washing cloth dey o, u go sha dey wash ur toilet with something.... U go wash ur plate with something, kiwi polish the small one sells for almost a thousand naira now Some of these things ehn, when u never start to dey pay for them with ur own money u won't even know they cost money. 2 Likes |

raumdeuter: There's no where anyone on 200k a month lives in Nigeria that he can afford to hire a driver, maid, and other domestic staff. How much do you think fueling that car a month is? How much is he paying the driver, the maid and the other domestic staff? That's even ignoring the fact that we are not talking about outliers, we are talking about the reality of the average Nigerian. 2 Likes |

raumdeuter: Which area for Ibadan? I dey see Ibadan houses wey agents dey post for TikTok na; the price difference between Ibadan and Ogun state is not even much at all. See, someone earning 200k cannot afford to have a driver even in the northest part of the north sef. Egbon e be like say u no know how expensive things are now in Nigeria 2 Likes |

Re: EPL Chatroom - All Discussions by raumdeuter: 1:41pm On Mar 28 |
BlueRayDick: All areas in Ibadan are not the same. There are areas in Ibadan where rent can be 4m per yr sef and some that 60K you go chase them for months As we speak now I am chatting with someone who runs a private school in an outskirt of Lagos Driver earns 30K, Graduate teacher 35K, Maid 20K per month. So all the salary for driver and maid is 50K |

raumdeuter: So how much will they fuel the car the driver will be driving ? How much will they stock the house the maid will be keeping ? And will someone who has a car be living in an area where they pay 60k as annual rent ? We are going somewhere 2 Likes |
Re: EPL Chatroom - All Discussions by raumdeuter: 1:47pm On Mar 28 |
BlueRayDick: People have cars all over. That 60K per year some even pay less |
Re: EPL Chatroom - All Discussions by raumdeuter: 1:50pm On Mar 28 |
GloriousGbola: If that is in an outskirt of Lagos, Imagine what they are paying for similar services in Nasarawa Ikirun and Ebonyi. Its possible to get such services for even half the price so we are talking about less than 15% on those services Some people entry level bank workers posted outside Lagos within the first few months dem don begin build house and even get plenty domestic help with the same salary you are struggling with in Lagos |
Re: EPL Chatroom - All Discussions by BlueRayDick: 1:51pm On Mar 28 |
raumdeuter: We are talking of cars , as in private cars not korope for hustle o. Like u own a car , pay ur driver 35k, pay ur maid 25k and live in a house where u pay 60k annually . So how much will they feed on for a month ? 2 Likes |

Re: EPL Chatroom - All Discussions by raumdeuter: 2:02pm On Mar 28 |
Look around Nairaland in the job section, see how much people are calling salary Post a advert for driver and offer 15k per month see how many applications you will get See an example this post here Sam56768: And that might even be before some yeye taxes. This here is averaging less than 30K per month |

raumdeuter: If u read two more pages of the thread u quoted, u will see other posters explaining that the N384k per annum quoted by the guy is just on paper and a far cry from what the staff of FAAN actually take home at the end of the year. That being said, the logic just doesn't work that a person who has to buy at least N50k fuel in his car, pay maid, pay driver and other domestic staff will do that on N200k salary anywhere in this country. The money will never be enough to do all of that. Maybe if the person is a pastor who gets handouts from his members sha o or if he is a civil servant who makes other income from undisclosed sources then I can agree |
