Without wasting much time, I was traveling and needed to leave home early. I arrived at the place where I would catch my second bus to the next station as early as 8:45 am, just a few minutes before 9 am. I decided to get something to eat. I am not a fan of roadside food or snacks, so I just needed a place to get something light and then get back to the park to catch a bus.

I finally found a small but neat eatery and went in to see what it offered. I noticed the food on display didn't look fresh, and I didn't want to risk eating microwaved leftover food. However, the snacks and chicken smelled nice and fresh. So, I immediately opted for a donut, chicken, and a bottle of water.

Yeah, my sense of smell didn't betray me; even my taste buds confirmed it.

My only shock was that the one donut and piece of chicken I ordered came with a whopping 4 pieces of toothpicks. I tried to figure out how much of the N1,700 went for the toothpicks, but I couldn't. Yeah, the meal was okay, and I think it was worth the price even though the chicken and donut were kind of small in size. I ended up having more toothpicks than the meal itself.

Well, I made sure to eat every bit of the donut, leaving no crumbs behind, except for the sugar sprinkled on the donut that I dusted onto the plate.

As for the chicken, hmmm, I chewed everything except just a few tiny bones left behind. I finished my bottle of water too. However, the toothpicks and the serviette paper were spared. Lol, do you think I spent my N1,700 well?

The chicken really small.

It's journey & naira is weak so it's fair for you (seems you were under the influence of the aroma).

Considering the economy, the N1,700 was well spent abeg.

Even with the inflated naira, they over charge him by 500 but may be that is for the environment (he said it looks clean) or "toothpick money".
