With the use of good seed I was able to attain 95% germination rate . The seeds were planted in double row on each bed and 4-5 seed placed in each hole.

You planted 4-5 seeds per hole? Did you later thin the plant?

They were thinned down to 3 per hole.

Start getting prepared for the next year planting season. Get your seeds and other chemicals(both insecticide most especially IMIDACLOPRID and herbicides) ready.

Okro planted on the 10th of February, it was pre-germinated by soaking in water for 12hours to speed up the germination process. This helps in uniform seed germination

From your experience when does the rain become too much that your soil becomes water logged.......

Most crops planted February are usually profitable

Re: Diary Of An Okro Farmer by Jub101(m): 7:38am On Apr 17
I learnt from a cucumber farmer that they boost their yield by applying nutrients back to the plant through basal or foliar spray after every harvest, so I’m thinking of doing a trial on that and apply foliar fertilizer after every 3 harvests. Will keep you posted on my results stay tuned !!
Re: Diary Of An Okro Farmer by Jub101(m): 7:40am On Apr 17
I will be going with agrovert 20:20:20 has a balanced fertilizer as Okro grows while still producing pods hence needs every nutrients required to boost growth and flowering.
