My Good Peoples of Nlander,i saw these solar generator on FB market place and I have been chatting with the markerter abi Agent, am about to order either of these solar generators to compliments my fuel generator.
As anyone of you had an encounter with the solar generator, pls share your experience so that I can learn from it.

I have never heard of any device called solar power generator.

What I know of is inverter which is connected to a series of solar panels which are then used to provide current directly to run electrical appliances or to charge batteries

99% of sellers on Facebook Market place are scammers. If you must buy, tell them you will have to meet them or see the product before payment. You see that, they will all avoid you like pest

Qasa has a product like this.
I don't know anyone using it though.
I use a bigger solar system.

After talking to the agent abi marker, he insists I pay 50% the money and pay the balance after delivery and installation.
He said he'd sending it from Lagos. I can't part my money like that with a company i kwn nothing about. I kuku opt for a company i kwn & I went to their office close to me to check their product which is salpha energy. I went for the poweflo 30 which is 300w and it has been serving my purpose.

Currently using Lumo Solar is different brand but is good and I have used it for a year now , it help my remote work

How does it generate the electricity it uses to power appliances?

The generator comes with an inbuilt battery which can be powered and charged by solar panel, it can also be charged with Nepa Light(Power) or generator.
The battery capacity will determine the price of the solar generator and appliances it can power.
Mine came with an inverter that converts the power from DC to AC.

You have to get a solar panel for it. An inverter should come with it cause mine came with one.
The good thing about it is it's mobility. You can travel with it and enjoy electricity anywhere you are after charging it.

Hello Nairalanders,

My place of residence has not been enjoying constant power supply. Since Buhari's second term, steady power supply is now history in my district. Right now, we only have electricity for only 2-3hours in a day and the output voltage fluctuates between 154-170volts.

I want to enroll in a few tech skill programmes online and my data network comes strong from midnight to sometime before 8am. Before that time, either my phone battery is dead or that of my router. I am considering buying a solar kit that can power 2 laptops, 2 standing fans and 3 smart phone with a standard light bulb. I found a portable one that is sold for 240k. Now the problem I have is that I know two neighbors who are heavy users of Solar electricity. To my surprise, this year, one raised that our crescent should deliberate on buying a new transformer. The other has switched to a big petrol gen.

Pls can someone who has used solar electricity for more than 3years (portable and gigantic battery type) tell me whether it is what buying or not and the reasons.

Should I still go ahead to get the 250k solar generator and what kva/watts can power the above listed items including the good brands to go for?

Solar generators is just like normal electricity generators we use. Difference is that it uses solar panel/NEPA light/generator to charge and the energy is stored inside the inbuilt battery pack.
