Even your stat, if you find the average, you will see the SW is still ahead. E.g. Add the rich, middle class and poor, them divide the percentages by 3.

I have this strong belief that the unity of Nigeria is holding down the South West. If the three regions of North, East and West is allowed to become independent countries, the West will leave other regions behind in many areas.

Though i agree the East may do well in business (economy) while the North will do well in agriculture..

The West will survive in all indices

What are your reasons for thinking that the South West will do well if they gain independence? Assuming you are right, why are they not going for Oduduwa Republic?

With the oil wealth in the SS, should they not be pushing for Niger Delta republic like the SE are pushing for Biafria?

If we had a balanced society, Nmandi Kalu wouldn’t be agitating for Biafra

It’s interesting how USA with over 55 states are solidly united

They can't push for Niger Delta Republic, they don't even know each other. What woukd a an Ibibio man know about an Urhobo man? Or an Ijaw man know about an Efik man. Nothing brings them together beyond calling themselves "Niger Delta"

They can split into several pieces rather than be under another mini Nigeria in the name of Biafria.

Even The Ikwerre as small as they are resisted Biafria just like Adaka Boro wanted to break away before Ironsi and Ojukwu crushed the movement.

That why the Biafran agitator wants referendum. Those who vote to become Biafrans will go as Biafra, those who vote to stay with Nigeria will continue as Nigerians

If every region should go their separate ways, believe me, in the next 100 years no single region will make a positive development.

You're talking of Awolowo preindependence, I'm talking about how SW is against Biafra agitation. If you believe you'll do better if Nigeria breaks up, why do you guys have problems with Biafra?

Pls done come to tell me you guys have no problem with Biafra
Goodvibes007:

Heck, Awolowo.pushed for secession twice to be added into the constitution - the right way to do it without violence. Azikwe Mr One Nigeria said No.
If Nigeria breaks up today, I will relocate to Nigeria within one year.

They're doing that because the big three cannot agree to secession.

If the Yorubas, Hausa and Igbos agree, it will be done peacefully, same way they fought for independence peacefully
Goodvibes007:

Lol..we are not. We just know some agitation are useless.

See what ESN and Simon Ekpa are doing in the SE. God forbid that happens in the SW. Maybe you enjoy the violence and killings.

it's still a shit hole! just a manageable one

Lagos isn't built by SW people alone so you people don't have right to take COMPLETE credit about it's viability it was capital from 1914-1991 that's a whooping 77 years! If you doubt the influence of what FCT does go and check Abuja before 1991

if we talk about SE we talk about the largest market in west Africa in Anambra

Huge industrial hub in Abia with another large market Ariaria market one of the largest in Nigeria

The Real estate hub of Nigeria Enugu and it's beautiful cold mountainous terrain

Imo is the educational hub of Nigeria and 4th largest economy in Nigeria

the fact two SE states sits above your O-states shows how viable their economy is

Again apart from Lagos which To fair everyone built SW is one poor region no cap

if we are to account for the states that have Igbos in them it will be bloody grin

lol. Sounds scared.

The only thing southwest will survive in is leasing their lands to Chinese and Lebanese like in Ogun state in the name of industrialization. The government collect the available tax while the majority of their people live in penury. If seperation happens today, Lagos will loose it's defacto special status. All the federal assets and landmarks will be sold and shared, Lagos port will greatly lose its monopoly, the same with airport. Embassy buildings will be close and sold off because of reduced economic interest.

Southeast (including Rivers and Delta Igbo) will have freedom to chart it's economic course. There would be reverse migration and investment from Lagos to the East. There will be massive investment from diaspora Igbos who were scared to do so because of lack of infrastructure and political sabotage.

BTW, do you believe that non Igbo speaking parts of the south south would reject Biafra if we separate?
