“The government would have paid N2.9tr for 2024. This is more than 10 percent of the national budget. It will be insensitive on our part to compel the government to pay such subsidy when we have other competing issues the government needs to fund under pau its of funds we have.” Well. Governorment ideally should not be in the business of power supply either via asset ownership or subsidization. Let the private run the sector to minimize corruption and maximize profit while delivering excellent services. People like to use Abia as example, but that's what can happen when private get involved. Even foreign investors might move in. The country needs to stop operating like a socialist country. 16 Likes |

Just make sure you provide enough prepaid meter. Nigerians should only pay for what they use. 52 Likes 7 Shares |

NO. OF HRS TO CONSUME 1 UNIT - [1KWH] WORTH OF ELECTRICITY which now costs N225 on BAND A: I actually don't have issue with the increase in electricity tariff but the wrong grouping of Areas to wrong Band. If areas are grouped base on the duration of electricity they received in a week, the new tariff won't have much effects with whatever Band group Above is the rate for no of hours to consume 1 unit for those who are in Band A which I think is still fair enough 43 Likes 6 Shares |

100% in support of FG. FG has been paying subsidy for darkness for decades. This is one of the many evils of PDP whereby incompetent cronies of government were sold NEPA while government keeps paying billions in subsidy to private owners to cover for their operating loss. Which sensible country does that? 51 Likes 2 Shares |

Slytiger:I don't know why people heaping blames on the FG, i guess a lot of people are plain ignorant. We have been through wrong direction for a very long time and it'd take a man with guts to steer us right. How can we sell our public assets to individuals, yet we keep paying them to run the assets. These cabal do not want to get their grip off us but i appreciate Tinubu for putting them in their place. 55 Likes 2 Shares |

Wainey:When we told you, Tinubu development is all about taxes and more taxes. No industry, but taxes. Does it make sense that 15% of the populace enjoy near constant power supply, because they can pay, but majority of people that need light are poor. Since APC logo is to throw more people into poverty and turn them to beggars to beg for palliatives. Anyway Nigeria spring is LOADING. 17 Likes 2 Shares |
