That was Kanu, again! Second match she missed a sitter. Two players who have been beyond poor: 1. Ajibade 2. Kanu. ThePresenceWtf: |

SA not playing like anything is at stake. Kudos to the Super Falcons. |

Randy should shock South Africa and bring in Okonkwo, Oshoala and Babajide at half time 3 Likes |

First half ends. SA had 3 shots but ZERO on target. Nigeria had about 2 shots but 1 on target. SA has 52% ball possession. Nigeria has 48%. Most of the SA possession has come inside their own half. The midpress has been fantastic. 5 Likes 1 Share |

Summary of the first half is Randy Waldrum outplays Desiree Ellis. We've been the better of both teams, totally making them clueless offensively. The best midfield play I've seen in a while. I think we've been suspect a few times with decision making. JOE has been the most culprit. I notice the pitch is also bouncing the ball funny or is it just me? Hopefully we clean up offensively and put this game to rest. 2 Likes |

Kanu seeing the chances but unable to bury them as usual. She should be selfless when approaching their box abeg. I love both our press and block. Only problem is we seem not to be stringing quality passes once we reach their box. Deborah is a machine. Nerdie find her one alias abeg. 4 Likes 1 Share |

AkinDS: Kanu is worse in this case! Randy should know that Ajibade need to be touchable in his starting 11 so that she can as well sit-up! |
Re: Nigeria Female National Teams' Thread by lovewins: 7:27pm On Apr 09 |
semid4lyfe: I think we've just made playing difficult for them. We shouldn't discount the work the girls have done. The mid-press is making SA useless. 2 Likes |

lovewins: It's more or less like whenever Joe has the ball, she's almost alone with none of Ayinde or Debbie in sight. Most of her contact has been with the marked Ajibade. Debbie or Ayinde need to get more involved in attack so she can make things work before they dispossess her. This swart no sabi. Who go fire shot now? 3 Likes |
Re: Nigeria Female National Teams' Thread by daveP(m): 7:28pm On Apr 09 |
Deltamani:Rinsola will be more effective than Kanu. So sad to see RW wey go make Kanu sit up no dey. |
Re: Nigeria Female National Teams' Thread by lovewins: 7:28pm On Apr 09 |
daveP: I think the plan is for both Ayinde and Debbie to sit. If that's the case I'll rather play Toni Payne who can move the ball better and dribble. She's the most skilled to do that. 5 Likes |

daveP: Onyi Echegini have done well even though she has lost some share of possessions! She have created few chances but again Our double pivots behind her are too far away because of defensive duties, Maybe one of Debbie/Ayinde need to be a little be offensive. But again we have done well… If Asisat Oshoala is to come in she need to do the pressing Job Ihezuo is doing at least so that they won’t be able to play from Behind… I also think the referee have been very fair and Right with her decisions!! Again where is Thembi Kgatlana?? 3 Likes |
Re: Nigeria Female National Teams' Thread by daveP(m): 7:32pm On Apr 09 |
lovewins:The good part of making one of them join her is that the 3 midfielders in yellow are not helping their so called DM that keeps marking Joe. If one of them join Joe, it becomes an overload that just needs one-two passes and a shot. Let's see how far. They seem so intentional on Alozie wing. Perhaps the average performance in 1st leg has gingered them to face her. We need that midfield working together to get a goal. Unless ajibade simply leaves that LW and joins joe in centre for a while. |

Deltamani:sA are too bold to attempt playing her alone upfront asif she's some Osimhen of sort. Smh. I dunno why i feel the press will drop if zee comes on. Let's see how the midfielders rotate joining attack sha. Cos for now that means 6 defending against the 4 playing in our half. 2 Likes |
