Airlines business is not a profitable business . No serious businessman is into aviation business. As said by someone " no top 100 billionaire in the world is into aviation business" it's all fancy and glamour with no profitability or liquidity.

Since it is a very low margin business... volumes and routes are key . That's why having a national carrier is most.

We also need competition in local flights. It is currently too pricey and these guys are cheating customers. How can a flight of less than one hour to the east be #500k during festive season. That is devilish.

What's the app you used to check these prices please?

I mean the screenshot at the end of your write up, what's the name of the app that captured those prices?

This foreign airline that made me travel all the way to Cotonou before I could board a flight going to London for 450k
while Nigeria was showing 1.2m to 1.5m that was last year.

I kept on asking why is it like this? The Cotonou airport self is not that busy na we Nigerians come make am busy.. More than half of the plane na Naija full am.

This foreign airline are very wicked, heartless as they said their money was trapped in Nigeria that was why they had to charge Nigerians 3 times what other African countries pay.

Even the Cotonou weh I enter plan from to London na naira I used pay not dollar

Government need to ensure that they are taxed heavily, then reduce tax for airspeace to be able to compete better with them
they are not wicked it is the wicked people in our government that is collaborating with them that makes it difficult for our citizens. Air peace Boss brought up this sabotage in a recent interview. That's why nothing works in this country. They same people are the ones fleecing our country dry including refineries etc. Tinubu has a lot to do. But they bulk lies on us Nigerians. We need to fight these people.

The only mistake air peace made was to have over 50% difference in price tag from it's closest rival. As a newbie in the business and less powerful, the price should have been between 10-30% for a start, then they can continue to adjust the price accordingly.

The drastic slash in price poses a threat to these 'big' airline carriers, though air peace is expected to be cheaper than the rest because, it is our local airliner but not too cheap. Most of these airline have enough resources and experience that keep them running at a loss on lagos-london route for a full year non stop and still make profit.

The only remedy is the government standing up for air peace. Create policies that encourages the like of air peace and other local airliners.
>Make their charges cheaper,
>sell aviation fuel to them cheaper.
>Make them government approved airline on that route, such that every official assignments undertaken by government officials have to be via air peace
>they may also get extreme by setting air peace and others as priority airliner on certain day(s) of the week such that on that specific day air peace must have boarded before any other airline can be allowed to

I don’t care if air peace owner is Igbo, Yoruba or Hausa, Nigeria government needs to invest and support this carrier as if our life depends on it.

These foreign airlines have been dealing with us mercilessly and you can’t blame them because the past administrations have a stake in tickets issued to Nigeria.

I pray more local brands enter the aviation market to further dealt blow to the greedy foreign airlines

Why didn’t they slashed their prices before Airpeace had to announce cheaper price
?? Business indeed

Still business.

Your competitor initiates price reduction, you follow same.

This is called price war. Its all business.

Air Peace too that comes in at a lower price is engaging in strategic business positioning. Its all business. Airpeace should know that the other Airlines too will react, except if they do not know what they are doing.

When Glo came in those days with reduced price, all the other networks did same. Its all business.

If the government is not giving onyeama support it can't reach the height it has reached

When did air peace start self, what's his business track record, just same like dangote and his friends called nigeria billionaires

I rest my case.

So why are all Nigerians not patronizing Glo instead of MTN since it’s all for patriotism?

What was Airpeace expecting ? I'm sure Onyema was not expecting an easy ride of Goat meat peppersoup, Afang soup with Pounded Yam.

There is competition and politics in aviation just like every other business. I expect Airpeace to explore their competitive advantages. Especially linking the London flights with local flights to various domestic Airports in Nigeria. Such that passengers can board from Kano, Abuja, Enugu, Anambra, PH etc with a seamless luggage transfer at Lagos Airport.
good coment. Hopefully he might do that soon. I think arik air did something like that before

GLO just have to improve on their network coverage. Some areas have poor network coverage and low speed. When GLO offer same or a better quality service, you'll witness the paradigm shift.

So you think the comfort that comes with using Emirate airline is the same as that of Airpeace?

Abi you think Innoson cars are more standard than Toyota. Why then do you guys scream Innoson daily?

So if Airpeace sells for $200 for example and Emirate sells for $150, why are you guys saying I should board Airpeace for patriotism?

This word you just said will be tagged Igbo hate if Igbo were to be the owner of Glo. But you see Yorubas don’t get emotional when you abuse Glo, because we understand it’s business.

Oha that's not an excuse. Before they crashed the prices, were they not charging at an exhorbitant rate? See let me tell you. Our useless and corrupt leaders are the reason for all this. They back them cus to they receive their own cut at the end of the day.

Oga stop saying what you dont know. come to Jankara here in Lagos...no gotv is sold for 65k.
Made some findings, it's 22k with One month max subscription.

65k ke? What's in the decoder? Black plastic casing and a single panel, then strip of metal for antenna and coloured carton box and some wires..

Do you know Glo story? Glo was the first guys that crashed sim prices.

Before Glo came, MTN sold at ridiculous prices before Glo crashed the prices totally.

I sodo pray Airpeace succeed, but stop the emotional blackmail of thinking everyone is their enemy.

Na the same satanic APC gave him the support for the London route.
