National Association of Nigerian Students (NANS) has declared support for Air Peace, saying we should rally behind an enterprise that embodies self-reliance and growth.

A statement by NANS senate president, Akinteye Afeez, noted the arrival of Air Peace brought a change, offering competitive prices that made air travel more accessible to Nigerians.

It noted the drop in prices by other airlines appears not as a genuine effort but rather as a strategic move for competition.

NANS said it is essential not to be swayed by short-term price reductions but to recognise the broader implications for the nation and the future of the aviation industry.

It called on Nigerians to support Air Peace and reject attempts to undermine it. “Supporting Air Peace means more than just choosing a flight; it’s about rallying behind a homegrown enterprise that embodies aspirations for self-reliance and growth.

“Its entrance disrupted this status quo, introducing competition and affordability.

Together, we can ensure Air Peace continues to soar, not just in the skies but also in the hearts and minds of travellers,” it said.

Fantastic.

Citizens have their roles to play in promoting local airlines, by patronizing them. Government has its role to play in protecting local airlines against unfair practices of foreign airlines. The airline itself has to make flying very attractive for all passengers.

The likes of Egypt air and Ethiopian air have been fleecing Nigerians. The difference between the current price and the former price is disgraceful to them, in the least. Thankfully it’s not summer yet, when Nigerians used to be at their mercy.

To think that Hadi Sirika played a trick against Nigerians using Ethiopian air is nauseating. Nigerians on the own frustrate their own.

When you are rooting for oppressors...Air Peace and other local airlines conniving to oppress local travellers with exorbitant air fares ... how do you explain paying 140k from Ilorin to Abuja and during Xmas charging #500k from Lagos to East?
Re: NANS Roots For Air Peace by Dididrumz(m): 10:02am On Apr 12, 2024
But of courses.

Airpeace is still the cheapest DIRECT Lagos to London route .

Air France, Ethiopian, Qatar, etc all do a 17-19hour haul to get to London , with one or two layovers , whereas Air Peace is just a 6hr flight with no single Layover.
You get to be served Nigerian meals too

The only competition to Airpeace here is British Airways and Virgin.
The latter airlines ripped Nigerians for decades so much that as at last month they were charging thrice of Airpeace fares . Their price crash is so artificial and if Airpeace isn't sustained, they will go back to their previous fares and there will be nothing you can do about it.

Fly Airpeace
My family and I will always do

How can Nigeria let Western countries mistreat Air Peace.
That's why I like Abacha when the UK misbehaved, he banned British Airways, they came begging.

Now they western countries treat us like sh*t & we take it?

Its true that Africa is still colonised.
The Western world simply put people who will dance to their tunes in power.

Tinubu being a druglord dare not request a fair planning field.

Until we get leaders who put the country first, we will continue to suffer
