Bobrisky has been jailed.
Nobody screamed "we are being targeted".
It is not APC trying to take out people who worked for LP in last election.
I'm sure Bobrisky would have even worked for Tinubu.
No noise of victim mentality anywhere.
His own trybe's men president, EFCC chairman and court judge jailed him, all of them Yorubas.
The matter has no tribal insinuation.
But let the niggarr come from the yeast, all hell will be let loose. What a cursed tribe

Look at the yardstick used for ranking those universities. Private universities are supposed to be doing much better than public schools because they have enough funding to reach their goals. Educational institutions are useless without money.

I have to praise Covenant University for outpacing other private universities that started before them like Igbenedion University and Madonna University. Those two varsities are merely glorified secondary schools.

You should be ashamed that a private Christian university beats all other washed down federal Universities, a big shame to the federal government.

I feel you.

Across different ranking approach and methodologies over the decades, one just have to appreciate the resilience and consistency of two of the original big 5 through several years of turbulence. Salute to the University of Ibadan and the University of Lagos. Always in the top 4. With UI often at the top.

The stakeholders at Nsukka, Ife and Zaria must collaborate with Ibadan and Lagos and all 5 should rise together. It's a challenge not a shame!

Those so-called billions explain why government schools charge us peanuts in tuition fees. Yes, university education is subsidized in Nigeria.

Again, the major source of revenue of universities is tuition fees, not subvention or endowments because they are inconsistent funding sources. Private universities charge as high as 300k per semester while some federal universities charge 50k in tuition fees.

Why Covenant University has established itself as a leading university in Nigeria is that it generates a lot of money from tuition fees and gets funding from the church and other PSI.

I maintain my position that private universities are supposed to be by far better than government universities in Nigeria because they are much richer.

You need a lot of money to run a university. Most of the world's leading universities don't charge less than 20 million per annum. For international students, you pay more than 50 million per annum.

Ranking is not always very accurate and does not reflect reality and true picture. The truth is that private universities devote a lot of time to documentation and tailor all their energies into coming tops in global rankings. Many of the private universities are serviced by staff of Federal Universities as adjuncts. Ranking can be misleading as it does not reflect the quality of teaching and impact of the products of the universities. For instance, there is no way a university less than 20 years can match the impact of the University of Ibadan which has existed for more than 70 years and produced various global icons. The truth is that the research of many old or retired professors at such universities may not be available online.
