May God help us in this nation. The way things are going, it's really scary.
We the masses have a great role to play. We're the ones joining hands with the elite to corrupt the nation in the name of tribalism 99% of the time. One woman, a member of a leading pentecostal Church whose husband is a pastor of that denomination once told me that, omo ęni ko le shedi bębęrę, ka wa lo filękę sidi omo elomiran, which literally means, your daughter can't have a big butt and you'd would now wear bids on the butt of another woman's daughter.

Mid March, she lost her job as a senior manager in a leading manufacturing company cos the company was running at a loss. The goods produced and kept in their various warehouses couldn't be sold. That's how far tribalism could go in marring one's career and life. Sadly, every tribe is guilty of this. There's no love for Nigeria as a country. Its been wired to be a chop make I chop system. But you and I can change this scenario someday. We always like running to the western world, who will vote a black man or Indian into key positions on merit but back home, its the other way round. Everybody faces wherever belle goes.

Some psychophants in our midst aren't helping the situation. It begins with all of us. Someone is in his mid 80s but lied to you that he's just 72 years old despite the obvious all over him and you still went ahead and voted him despite his lies, all in the name of tribalism. These men don't give a hoot, even if people are dying. They'd only send condolences where necessary and more on. Their family members and associates are made for life. Its the masses that will always suffer the consequences of their wilful bad choices .

A guy working for a leading indigenous logistics company as a driver took his wife to a general hospital here a few weeks ago. They told him they'd carry out a C/S on her wife. He had nothing. The general hospital could not do it so they referred her to lasuth. He phoned the ward Councillor, called the LG chairman, none to help. The chairman who would pick his call at first dial during election ignored his call. He mobilised a lot of his men for election last year, as if he'd be given an appointment. Eventually, he had to sell his land at Atan-Ota to enable him pay for the C/S. Imagine a general hospital saying they don't have equipment to conduct the surgery and billions go into that sector yearly? But they can fly abroad to give birth with tax payer's money. The real change begins with you and I.

2 Peter 3:16 Amplified Bible (AMP)
In which there are some things that are difficult to understand, which the untaught and unstable [who have fallen into error] twist and misinterpret, just as they do the rest of the Scriptures, to their own destruction.

This is the best answer you give to a person who gave himself the moniker AntiChristian.

Remove the last 3 letters and you have AntiChrist.

When an earnest person asks about this passage- one should know and explain it.
But not to an AntiChrist

AntiChristian:
Check this out...

Matthew 15:22-28
A Canaanite woman from that vicinity came to him, crying out, "Lord, Son of David, have mercy on me! My daughter is suffering terribly from demon-possession."

Jesus did not answer a word. So his disciples came to him and urged him, "Send her away, for she keeps crying out after us."

He answered, "I was sent only to the lost sheep of Israel." (Jesus was not sent to everybody)

The woman came and knelt before him. "Lord, help me!" she said.

He replied, "It is not right to take the children's bread and toss it to their dogs."

"Yes, Lord," she said, "but even the dogs eat the crumbs that fall from their masters' table."

Then Jesus answered, "Woman, you have great faith! Your request is granted." And her daughter was healed from that very hour.

I would expect that a 'God incarnate' person who is ultimately merciful wouldn't think twice before helping a sick child, especially since he has the power to do so.

Can we say this is a racist comment? He replied, "It is not right to take the children's bread and toss it to their dogs."

Who are the Children and who are their dogs?

not correct, when I was younger I liked owl, but where I come from it represents death and misfortune, but when I grew up I learnt in other cultures it is symbol for wealth and wisdom. No wonder I was attracted to it earlier.

My point is all these is symbolism, therefore it will be unto you according to your believe

As for the part of how the cat came about in the first place, to the house of my family friends who dreaded the sight of cats not to talk of having them around, probably the saying, "an enemy of my enemy is my friend" may be applicable to this case, because the rats had really dealt hard with this family, it was even assuming spiritual dimensions, as they've tried everything possible means to eliminate them, but to no avail although the house was a big house.

So that's where the cat came in, having exhausted every other option and having spent huge sums as result but to no avail.

Therefore they were left with no choice but to also try out a cat as a last resort albeit reluctantly just to see if it would work.

But guess what, once the cat stepped into the building, despite being small in size and even smaller than some of the rats when it first came, the same rats that were previously feeling invincible as if they were also owners of the house, that would make them have the audacity to be opening pots of food, amongst other unimaginable things that they was doing, one by one, that was how they kept leaving up til the point that not one single rat left visible in the big house.

There may also be 1 or 2 lessons to draw from that, but it was the discipline of the cat that stunned me the most.

God bless.

Thank you, rats are getting closer to people's homes these days maybe do to deforestation and people destroying their natural habitats in the wild. Even pesticides can only do so much to kill some of them but it cannot eliminate them. Only cats have come to rescue in many homes.

The summary is until the people understand that they're the boss nothing will change, just recently they were criticizing obi for donating borehole, I asked a simple question: why didn't they call out the LG chairman, or senator covering that area for not providing water even after having access to our collective tax payers money? Righteousness Exalts A Nation: One Thing Nigeria Could Learn From A Cat

Normally, a cat is not an animal most Christians would want to associate themselves with, considering the negative reputation it has generally among Christians.

I myself am not endeared to cats, and barely had any interactions with them in my entire lifetime. However on this particular occasion, I had paid a visit to a family friend and stayed there for several days.

A cat happened in the house, so that was how me and this particular cat crossed paths.

It's an interesting story as to how the cat got there in the first place, because this was also a christian family well known to hate the sight of cats not to talk of having them around, but that's a long story which may distract from the topic, so let me not go there just yet.

Now during my stay there, I observed the cat was very selective when it comes to food.

It doesn't eat rice, beans, yam, plantain, among others, so whenever any of the above is placed in its plate, it often end up in the refuse bin. If not there, it gets being devoured by cats of neighbors closeby, to suggest that the cat is quite unique in the way it selects food, however as a result it's often left hungry even when its plate is full of food.

It happens to often eat bread though and also appears to love licking soup especially draw. But of course, fish, meat are his favourite food as expected.

So whenever someone was about to eat swallow especially, somehow it is able to sense that what it craves was inside the plate of food the person is carrying, so it would follow the person hoping some of its favorite food could drop for it from the plate.

I usually share some of such with it while eating as a result, so it is usually hopeful of getting something whenever I was eating hence hardly misses such moments.

One day, it was already hanging around where I had put my food and was about to eat. However it appeared I forgot something so had to go downstairs to get it. Something appeared to delay me though so my food was left open for a while, but then when I remembered the cat was already there waiting, I shouted and rushed back to see what had become of my open food while I was gone. I sincerely thought it would have already pounced on the food and devoured especially the meat and fish inside.

But when I came back I just saw the cat still lying down close to the stool but the food was intact. I was shocked because the plate of food contained its favorite fish and meat and it was really close to it, yet it didn't touch it.

Perhaps I didn't need to be shocked if that's the nature of cats but I didn't know much about cats anyway. I don't still know if this is the same with all cats but this particular one doesn't touch any food that doesn't belong to it.

Despite being hungry, it waited patiently for me to finish what I was doing to come and give it some meat and fish by myself before it would eat.

I was seriously impressed and it made me want to give it as much as possible. Funny thing is that when I give it, it could take it and run somewhere to secure while eating it, but it doesn't touch someone else's food.

It was a real eye-opener that a cat could have such discipline.

It made me begin to imagine what Nigeria would have become if we as Nigerians and our leaders had such discipline not to take what doesn't belong to us.

The Bible says, "righteousness exalts a nation but sin is a reproach to any people." Proverbs 14:34

That's why a nation so richly endowed and blessed by God, is yet the poverty capital of the world.

It because of sin (mindless stealing and corruption) which would bring reproach to any nation.

At this time when Nigeria is suffering much poverty, hardship, and reproach due to lack of discipline on the part of her leaders and people, Nigeria could surely do well to learn something from the cat.

God bless.
Hatred for cats is a cultural thing and not Christian. Kindly enlighten us where it's stated in the Bible that cats are evil.

Nigeria is like a conglomerate of nations forced together to share one country which has now proved to be a false country and most dysfunctional country on earth.
The cat example doesn't fit because the many nationalities of Nigeria do not share common value systems.
The Muslim far north of Nigeria is preoccupied in how to use the government institutions of Nigeria assisted by local and foreign Islamic Jihadists to take total control of Nigeria. Unfortunately for them, Nigeria is a country nearly equally divided between Muslims and Christians with none religious people.

Pray for your country and stop demarketing it.

There's corruption almost everywhere even in the church!

Even in the Biblical translations of KJV, RSV, NIV, ESV, NASB, etc there's corruption!

Many verses exist in KJV that were removed from others as they were dubiously added!
what is the use of prayer in a country like Nigeria, whose leaders enjoy stealing the wealth of the people , oppressing them and then use both religion and tribalism to divide and rule !
Haven't you noticed that Nigeria is one of the most religious and prayerful country in the world ! Our churches are more than Our schools and hospitals combine.
Our practice of religion has surpassed those countries that brought it to us ,so what are you talking about !

We use prayer to cover our dark and wicked ways and still shamefully resort to prayer. My question is this, who exactly are we praying for !Nigeria is a geographical space and the people makes up the country. Is the pray suppose to be for Our leaders ,for them to stop their wicked ways and stop stealing from the people ?
Do we hide our head in the sand like ostrich and pretend all will be well as we continue to pray endlessly!
Oga. Pls enough with this call for prayer for Nigeria, when we know why the country is on her knees.

If America and the rest of the west had sat idle to pray for God to deal with all their problems , including their past leaders, who were tyrant , I am sure there won't be a developed western world that we Africans often engage in fasting and prayers just to get a visa to either visit or stay .

Enough with this fake call to prayer .. if Nigerians are not ready to throw away their bigotry and and start reasoning like patriot ,then don't expect Nigeria to change for the better. And no amount of prayer and fasting will change anything, until the people decide to change their ways of thinking .

Does not mean the principalities will cease to exist, they will find other ways to influence humanity, it could be pride, lust for power and other human weaknesses. But they cannot use fear, since the people cease to believe in superstitions.

That is why we always need God, to help us. To direct us, and keep us.

Oppressive principalities feed on fears. But where the Spirit of the Lord is there si freedom, in the presence of God there is goodness

If u say a word of command and u believe in it with your heart....so shall it be
If u say with your mouth that any principalities and powers cannot hurt u or don't exist and u believe in your heart, so it is. They will fear u because u don't believe and fall under their jurisdiction.
