If there's one thing I like about Bubu's administration and the APC charade was that it actually gave people sense. People were able to identify dumb from dumber. Showed how myopic most Nigerians were under GEJ without disparaging some lapses. cheesy
Sudden Economist everywhere 🤣🤣
Don't be confused and don't confuse others!
Which GEJ are you talking about and why can't he go ahead to do what he wanted- as a President?
Does GEJ have opinions of his own and he was too loose not to stand,as Mrs Dezani becomes the dictate, yet stealing uncontrollably like the Umaru Dikko, under Shehu Shagari- Era!
Stop blaming others for your weaknesses!

Re: Dangote Crashes Diesel Price To ₦‎1,000 Per Litre by crossbreedwears(m): 8:39am On Apr 17, 2024
Haba bros. That amount is too high for a litre of diesel. Imagine how highest currency can't buy a litre of diesel. Minimum wage cant buy bag of rice, garri or beans.
LegendHero:
In like 1 month time, the price difference should reflect properly at filling stations across the country for diesel.

Even with their markup and everything, diesel should sell between 1000 and 1150 across the country.

We still want it to come down more to ease the inflation a bit.

If Dangote goes below 1000, he will disrupt the subsidy shenanigan. The subsidy must continue...

Is it not the same Dangote that has muscled out and is still trying to push his competitors out of business in the cement sector? He will simply try to do the same to maintain control.
Which of his competitor in the cement sector he has push out of business? Is it Bua or Larfarge?

Dangote can't push the PH, Warri and Kaduna refinery out of business.

There are still numerous modular refinery with about 200,000 bpd refining capacity.

We thank God for Dangote but where is NNPC and their confused Management by Kyari,as he Promised 3- weeks ago,to make the Port-Harcourt- Refineries to be Functional in 2- weeks then!
To some of us,we knew he was just talking the impossible because he wanted to be like Dangote, but he and his Crew can't as, they don't have what it takes to be Productive!
Shame on the NNPC and most of the MDAs - for making Nigeria unproductive - e g Humanitarian Poverty Dept, the DISCOS ( No Light- Day and Nights),the Customs Dept, the FERMAS,the NNPC,etc.they are only after the yearly -NBillions Budgets, for Corruption in some of these Agencies are too bogus and too corrupt!
Most of these MDAs should be scrapped!
This is the same way people were abusing Dangote for not starting production after Buhari commissioned his refinery

We should expect even more reduction in the price when the port Harcourt refinery kick starts.
So what is it waiting for to kick start? Because as of last year December we were told work was completed there.

An Artificial suffering imported by them,

Nothing is crashing here, he didn't crash anything, If dollar is to went up tomorrow, the price will follow Suit,

If that Dangote Means well, He should start by selling it for #500 per litre, Then you will see as the dollar automatically fall too, This things they are doing is cut throat, self-enriching

GEJ is one of the reason why this country is this shitty. He depleted our excess crude oil account with his goons, so stop justifying nonsense.

Price of diesel is falling, and naira is less devalued against the dollar but food prices keep soaring.

I don't understand this if it is not clearly price gouging at this point.

They have so bastardized this country that any little reduction looks like they doing us a favour. FFS, why will diesel be 1000/ltr?

Which filling station are you buying diesel for 1200? Tell me the filling station location maybe I can check it out myself because here in Lagos, the least I do see is 1400 per liter.

I hope Dangote diesel will start circulating soon. It shouldn't be more than 1150 in Lagos
Sorry, I buy for 1,550 naira at other fillong stations while 1,450 from NNPC. Bro, na mistake.

Nigeria is a place where things drag a bit after the publication of commissioning.

So for Porthacort refinery, I am giving them the benefit of the doubt that it will definitely start production in few months. Fingers crossed.

—Lagos Blue rail (Came to fruition after some months)
—Dangote Refinery (came to fruition after some months of delay)
—Aba supposed 24/7 power (never happened yet)
—Lagos Red Rail (Commisioned, awaiting the start)
Some people won't be happy as you are listing these good things within one year of Tinubu's administration ooo. They prefer we list negative things. Meanwhile, we are not hearing anything from their region apart from the gutters that Otti is building. How many km of gutters has he done now?

You are the one who should be shameless.....how much did Jona too meet it before taking it to 250.....we have seen the dollar bolt out the room to almost 2k and this govt has fought to get it back to where it is now and efforts still on to get it below 1k..... instead of you encouraging them,u are busy hating with no plausible solution.

We also saw fuel prices attempting to go up but we saw efforts by govt to bring it back down and even take it lower from where it is....it's people like you that can't even run a common kiosk that will be dumbly criticising people handling a whole country

Business he used FG and Nigeria deposit money to build? Even the land he built on was given to him free. The area was declared free trade zone. Meaning free of taxes. He shouldn't be ungrateful and greedy.
firstly, perhaps u have forgotten that the facility employs hundreds/thousands of direct & indirect labour. did you figured out how they are being paid monthly that they don't go to road protesting over unpaid dues?

secondly, note that no private establishment is completely free from taxes in this country.(govt might waive certain part of the tax for reasons best known to them or even instruct the manufacturers to divert the tax fund to some infrastructural development BUT NO ESTABLISHMENT IS COMPLETELY FREE FROM TAX).

thirdly, the facility has investors(FG inclusive) whose aim is to get ROI for their investments.

fourthly, the crude oil that facility used to commence it activity were imported, as our country already sold part of our future oil in order to secure some loans.

i am not faulting you here at all, but u need to factor in these situation bfr accusing Dangote(business man) of greediness doing his bussiness.
