They have a different specie of cassava...

Ours contains more cyanide. So fermentation is necessary to reduce the cyanide.

I have seen some of them eat their raw cassava. To make fufu They just boil their cassava and pound... They don't ferment it.

Also they mix their fufu with plantain. It makes it lighter and more sticky.

But I personally I prefer the nigerian version!

Since I saw one Chinese lady's video making fufu just by grinding a raw cassava in a grinder and immediately turning it into a pot on fire and stirring it into fufu without any fermentation done, I knew this process of fermentation of cassava into fufu will not be so welcome to outsiders.

Fufu doesn't smell any badly. I dont know what some people put in there cassava to make it smell that bad. The fufu I make comes out white and without any bad smell

I schooled in Ghana and how can I see myself in love with a Ghanaian woman, she gave birth to a kid for me and sit down, closing my nose telling her; the food is rotten knowing very well such food undergoes fermentation which is not only peculiar in her tradition or culture but such food method is applied in other tribe or race culture.
