is restaurant a good place to work

Sure; it all depends on the working conditions and what works for you as an individual.

Yes. I still went to work today. Woke up late around 5:06 am and returned around almost 7pm. I didn't go yesterday though. Yesterday was my off. I always have offs on either Saturdays or Sundays. If it falls on Saturday this week, subsequent week's off will be on Sunday

I'm not. In fact, I don't see how relevant it's to my dreams or career. Being here can kill one's potential. I've decided already. And by God's grace, I will be making my intention known by next week.

Wish you the best.

Yeah, It's a good restaurant located at Lekki phase 1 with about 14 outlets scattered in Lagos. But don't really know about their working conditions; just do your due diligence.

2k daily.
You obviously didn't understand the question. There is no amount/cost/value you can place on the stress you go through daily. The effects it has on your mental & psychological health cannot be quantified. Some persons have adapted to it other cannot.

Business can be that time demanding, i can remember when my previous Boss started his business, i was his first employee. This man comes to the office as early as 7am, this is someone who lives close to his business.

But now, i heard he comes twice in a week, so leave these Boss thing, owning a business can be very demanding, unless you have one sugar boy, or daddy funding you when business has low sales.

Even Dangote is still struggling yet he's a Bosses Boss.

i don't need one, only if you know how i earn.

And I can't work for a Nigerian owned company, Nigerians are too greedy, selfish and tribal.

Most nigerians are just wasting their lives, and at the end of the whole hustle, they can't even buy a house in top areas

You earn no nothing.

If you are earning as you claim with a side business you won't condemned her leaving that job to set up her owning and you won't mock business having low sales in a discouraging way.

Even With your acclaimed earnings combined together it will take you years to buy a house in a middle class area so how are you different from the other Nigerians that are just wasting their lives Hussling for nothing?

While waiting for admissions, I applied and got a job in a super stores. Thought it would keep me occupied. My job was to make ice cream. Didn't sell a single cup the whole day. Didn't bother resuming the second day.

In otherwords you decided to sack yourself before they sack you grin

Have you ever left a job within a month or less? What made you quit so quickly? Share your story and reasons below. Perhaps it was a mismatch in job expectations, a toxic work environment, or unforeseen personal circumstances. Your experience can offer valuable insights and help others navigate similar situations.

Toxic work environment. It was too toxic, I was extremely miserable, nearly went mad.
Oh, I lost weight drastically that people started questioning me..

In my case, I worked up to 7-8 months but it was hellish. . .

This is an hotel owned by a former governor managed by one wicked chairman...

He talk down on people anyhow, and fond of saying he's untouchable cos he's a politician and roll with high Caliber. He curses employee even beat up a guy at a point. Well I was praying at some point he'd beat me and I will strike back then take issues up with him, very useless person.

People think we the workers are enjoying like mad since it was owned by a former governor and all form of dignities lodge there.

My employment contract stated different role but I was moved to a different department to work, not quite long, I was moved to another as one of their old staff angrily resigned cos of the man abuse.

In space of 4-5 months I was moved or will I say yeye promotion thrice, yet salary didn't improve. It got to a point I was the only one working in the store department, doing all the work, a big hotel.

There was a new building extension they were doing that time as well, and I was the one also supervising the store where all materials are kept, I'd be the one receiving and issuing out every bullshits concerning the site.
The site engineer and architect pitied me at some point and protested the company employ an assistant for me yet they kept giving excuses.

All these are totally off the job description I signed.

I lost everything in me, I was a shadow of my self. I started loosing weight that the attraction of people got to me and they started asking me to go for check up.

Haaa ino contact any thing oo I do shout.

I had little sleep, we resume by 7am and closes God knows time and the closing time on the contract stated 5pm. There was a time I got home by 12am and I'd resume by 7am again the next day which I do wake up by 4 or 5am.

The company do recruit here and there, very useless place. I could remember we were 12 that came in, in my batch, 6 made out just after a week. Hard working old staff, all left but the chairman believe in soldier comes and go, barrack no dey empty. Very intelligent individual has left that place.

The chairman was dating the deputy general manager and the woman is so wicked. She collided with some set of official to kick out the general manager and she was installed as the GM. The previous GM was a very wicked man, always bad report about staff. He would collide with the chairman during the days he was the chairman's favourite to sack any staff. He was behaving irrational and vile and he got his share before he willingly resigned. Man had high blood pressure 😂🤣 due to constant abused, threats, and queries from the chairman.

The treatment was just so bad, over use of staff and staff shortage. A person can be doing the work of 3 people yet collect salary of just one person.

No good company management, everybody working for the purpose of eye service in courtesy of the so-called chairman.

Co-workers will be shouting on each other, no coordination and no professionalism. Manager will be giving bad report concerning his team members, it got to a point there were party in the company and they were fighting physically and even otherwise.

My mental health moved from bad to worse, I had to tender resignation letter which they rejected, which I battle it out with them and exit that evil place.
