For those who are busy and multitasking on a job, VN is actually a very important means to send a message across without having to edit, delete and do all that, when you can just open a voice record and say what you need to say and send.

And then if I need to communicate my feeling to the receiver at the other end, VN is the best tool.
Not to mention those who might have lost a limb, how do you expect them to type a lengthy message?.

I so much believe that VN on any platform is a very good invention.

Indeed, it's an innovative invention. VN sound clarity and brevity are very important for proper two-way engagements.

- Sometimes, I like to reply messages without having to come online.
- I can stand a 20-30 seconds voicenote, but listening to a 2mins VN annoys me.
- With the speaker in my ear, I find myself responding only to quick realise that I'm speaking to a recorded voice

Honestly, it has save alot of typings.
Do you think it's everything you can type and the receiver will understand it better. Take a look of trying to explain a mathematical concept to someone. Will typing help? Voice note will do the job.

U need to understand that many guys here are jobless hence enough time to keep tying all day.for me m always multitasking so voice note helps wen i need to explain in detail

It's only usefulness is in a group. If it's an individual why not just make a voice or video call,?

What if the person is a noisy place or something like that?…your message go hold oh
But it is was a written message….just glancing through it will make the person get back to you immediately.

This is what many of them don't understand. It's convenient for them because it's faster, meanwhile it's slower for the recipient who will have to listen to the entire length of the voice note, for me it's torture

My reasons are this.
1 it's save time compared to typing.
2 it's fast and efficient.
3 it helps to tell the mood the person you are talking with.
4 it's better understand due to the fact that you can hear the persons tune.
5 You can easily tell if you the person is being rude, or respectful by the manner which the person talks. E.t.c

Voice notes are a norm in developed nations and in standard work environments. Nigerians are still backwardly struggling to terms with the formality, i understand that. They believe you are not serious if you don't make a GSM call or write them on a letter head.

Since when what happens as a norm in other countries become a standard for Nigeria? So because other "developed" nations are now into LGTV/Rainbow Nigeria should fall in line or you brand her backward. Technological advancement simplified use in divers ways. Each one with his/her own preference. I either get a call directly even through WhatsApp or you message in writing. I don't listen to voice note, it's my preference.

i respect your preference, respect other's and don't act shocked. Using voice notes has no connection with the issues you raise or compare. You may choose to stop using the internet and revert to using a town crier to deliver messages since you don't want to fall in line(whatever tht means).

This the first time and place I will get it that VN is annoying in any way! People can be very wired and creepy o! VN, despite it faster and efficient mean of communication, has all the controls you may every ask for!
