You guys overestimate the power of governor in a state

Politics is a game of numbers, once majority of key players are against you, there is little or nothing you can do. Power has limit, besides, you can only exercise it through the key players you have. He started the fight too early, a wise politician would've endured until he got his second tenure or at least win majority of key players to his side .

Fubara is not foolish as you think, he can't do more than what he is doing. As a leader in democratic settings, the only power you have are majority that can work and die for you. Ambode back then would've got away with his 2nd term but majority of key players were not on his side.
