Some of them have tried to assimilate but no matter how hard they tried the local communities they are still see them as Igbos and hence strangers. They don't full right of the natives. The Obi of Agbor said they should stop speaking Ibo and Ika as well, that they should speak only Agbor language.
It's an Irony, because Agbor is a sub dialect of Ika dialect, while Ika is a dialect of the Igbo.
