The business is not the building, its the beach front. You know this but trying to justify a wicked targeted act.

If the road had followed the original plan, it would have been a win-win. This new route is more expensive besides the new route finally joined the old route just after landmark. Its just a targeted act
Even if the road followed the original plan, Eko Atlantic City would have still make landmark landlock.

In broad day light, Tinubu duplicated 1 road, destroyed business worth 200million dollars and then rejoin the original route intended for the road.

If we dont pass law to ban the duplication of roads, this will repeat itself again.

They will split 1 road, demolish your house and then rejoin the main route further down.

How will Tinubu explain the two roads, with one in front and the other at the back, less than 1 km away from each other.

Lagos coastal road, fg coastal road side by side, does it make sense?

Tinubu will not be there forever!
LegendHero:

You don’t even understand the picture you are sharing.

The red line is Lagos state project. The yellow line is federal government project.

Lagos initially intended to build a 4lane coastal project as an alternative to Lekki-Epe expressway. It is a different project entirely from this interstate coastal expressway.

Use your brain, between the line in red and that in yellow, which one is closer to the water bodies more? Then which one do you think will lead to destruction of more properties along the corridor between the two?

it seems it is useless to argue with Nigerians the best thing is just to allow them to enjoy what they want. when you try to make them see the realities on ground, it is usually heartbreaking seeing people defending wasteful spending by politicians and yet trying to paint them nice.
the contract has been awarded, those who go chop go chop, no use arguing with them. even if they like they can build another airport in lagos. it is all well and good. i no even get the energy to argue, better things dey to do, maybe you can argue with them sha.

Bliss4Lyfe:
There should be a law banning duplication of roads in Nigeria.

This wastefulness is getting out of hand.

Its obvious landmark beach was targeted and thats why there'sa rush to prevent people from intervening.

Imagine doing a small detour to damage such an expensive business only to rejoin just after.

Such wickedness using presidential powers.
Bliss4Lyfe:

If u look at this picture, after destroying Landmark bsuiness because he is Igbo, they then rejoin the main route.

Now the same road is in front and at the back, where is that done.

Oh now the business is the beachfront. Now, who owns the beachfront? Is it not the FG Abi you no understand Nigeria law. Certain meters from the waterbody is owned by the FG.

So if FG is repossessing her properties, why are you then crying?

You’re even using your argument to show why Landmark owner is a propagandists.

Sand filling of the Eko Atlantic City is an ongoing project. There's always sand filling going on there everyday. When it will get to landmark is when I dont know but it will eventually get there.

White people dont treat each other like this.

This wickedness actually made me sick.

Look at the way you talk as if you're the owner of the project.

Well, Eko Atlantic City will eventually make landmark landlock. I wander why he's playing politics with this issue.

The govt is meant to encourage business investments, not doing unnecessary things to close business. This law was recently litigated by the Supreme Court.

Tinubu is using his illegitimate presidency to fight Igbos. He will not succeed!

They should divide Nigeria, and it will be divided, it dont matter how many road you want to construct, all of you will go and live in your various regions and treat each other in your place however it is you want to live.

The tribalism in Nigeria is at sickening level and must not be allowed to continue.

That is not the point. This coastal road had an original plan. There's no justification for that short detour other than to target landmark

Nigeria is not dividing. The north, south west and south south are not interested in division. If the south east wants to leave, bye bye

The original plan for the costal road according to Umahi goes through SE but the President have told him to remove the SE because it will no longer be a coastal road if the SE is included.

Landmark is not the only beach on that axis that will be affected by this road.

You have never been to that axis, this is why you're making this all about landmark beach alone. All the beaches within that axis will be affected.

You have to understand what was at play. That coastal road have been in Lagos plan since 15+ years ago and there has always been issue between Lagos state and FG on the right of ownership.

FG claimed they own then land 250m from the line which explains why Lagos had to settle for another route. Thats the line you are seeing in that pics. It was Yar’Adua that eventually granted Fashola that permission.

If FG had merged with Lagos to use that red like path in the image, it would have led to more destruction of houses. So in a bid to save Landmark shanties/tents, you will have to bring down real properties along that other corridor.

Lol any business that hinders development needs to go down. Even Peter Obi your lord said the same thing on video when he was busy demolishing properties in Anambra to build roads.

We’ve been hearing this nonsense “Closing business” since 2000, yet Lagos wax stronger by the day.

Lagos is too big to notice all this roforofo talks.

For a country in need for tourism, why destroy the most viable tourist location?
