I hope this is just one of those games. I was expecting a gradual transfer of domination through generations, not a jump.
Interestingly, on paper they seem matched evenly, so perhaps the experience garnered by the Nuggets on their way to their championship may prove to be the advantage on their side.

Edwards has taken a leap in level and Naiz Reed just showed why he's the 6th man of the season.

The Nuggets has gotten weaker since last year run. They have Bruce Brown that can come from the bench to give them buckets. Who do they have this time? Justin Holiday and Peyton Watson? πŸ˜‚

Its not just about ant mans skills. Its his leadership, being able to make a team want it just as bad. I believe it was a40 that said I was too harsh on Lakers. But I know what I saw, Lakers bench was at least as good, if not better.

This win, in nuggets territory exposes the fraud that was the lakers team this year. These guys were never going to win a ring this year and only wanted to be in the playoffs so they can say they didnt miss it.

It also exposes the Durants and Beals and Hardens. Even Kyrie and Kawhi. A whole generation just whined and got coaches fired, but never took that MJ crown. Them youngns exposing them now.

We already saw what a healthy Bucks with the full compliment of Lillard/ Beasley and Giannis did post Griffin and it wasn’t exactly great. The Bucks if anything finished 3rd and bottom pack of defensive rating. So no, the injury excuse isn’t going to sell.

We told you guys that roster as constructed was never going to work because you have two mannequins in Lillard/Beasley in your front court that opponents feasted on all season. Tell me why we are now hearing talks of the Bucks trading Lillard? Is that also Griffins fault?

As for your question, If the Bucks kept Griffin and based on their record when he was let go, he would have finished second and gotten the Magic and not the Pacers. In the worst case they got the Pacers, We may never know, unlike the fact we have in front of us after his dismissal.

You of all people should understand the game better that the playoffs are totally a different ball game as compared to regular season games..

An healthy bucks team will have won in 5 at best, haba this isn't rocket science

I kuku said it here, to beat Denver just wear Joker down and thankfully Minnesota has 3 Big bodies + Anderson who can at least help slow him down... That's the same Strategy I felt LA should have used, okay AD at the 4 and throw the big bodies at him just like in the bubble.. for Any na AG suppose take up that assignment but as it stands, AG self go collect cos Ant is way faster and all... All in all I see the Timberwolves winning in 5/6 games.

The lack of that extra Big to fill in for Jokic when he rests will come back to bite Denver and yea Gianni's is still better than Jokic πŸ˜‚

Your Lakers don't have no Naz Reid on the bench bruv.

When a bench player comes on in the 4th quarter and scores 14 there's not much you can do to counter that

Naz Reid dey make wide open 3s Jokic dey miss. What do you do with that?

Nuggets led this game longer than they did vs the Lakers the problem is only Jokic and MPJ showed up. And the Nuggets lack of bench is showing. Role players should be shining in home games but for some reason Nuggets role players are not shining

Game 2 is differently going to be different from this game 1 as I believe Malone will make some tactical adjustment.

Nothing is going to be different unless Jamal Murray steps up to deliver at least 30-35 points. Denver's engine have always been Jokic & Murray. MPj is usually the occasional star. AG and Caldwell Pope are non-factors. And like mentioned severally, there is no bench. Bruce Brown kept it ticking last championships. There is no freaking body on the bench unless Reggie Jackson suddenly becomes superman.

The twerk is for the defensive adjustment. KCP might have to give way to Reggie.

They do. The problem is they're not being stars in their roles

I've watched playoffs long enough to see average players have one or two playoff games where they go ballistic.

If the likes of Watson, Braun and Holiday cannot have 1 playoff game where they're effective enough to score double digits or make an undeniable impact then the Nuggets have to ask themselves why these players are on the roster. You don't put players on the bench in the playoffs just to be a warm body, you're either a high energy guy that defends and crashes the boards or you can come off the bench and go on a quick 8-0 run. Other than that you're a liability that will ultimately cost the team the series

You're right. Jamal has to go band for band with Antman like he did last season where he went 27-6-6

The issue is the Wolves know he's not 100% and so they keep trying him picking him up from 90ft. Nuggets players too instead of stepping up and setting screens and giving him space they stand in the corner as if they will even make the open 3 when they get it

All those comeback runs vs the Lakers might have done some damage. The Timberwolves shot 70% from the field in the second half. That's insane. Could it be fatigue or Timberwolves just are an excellent shot making team cos I saw Timberwolves in the regular season, they were not this good offensively

Magic offense has stagnated this third quarter...Cavs wipe out a 10 point deficit with 3 mins left in the quarter.
Re: The NBA Begins by BlueMann: 8:07pm On May 05
Back to back Strus threes give the Cavs some breathing space, huge shots considering how hard it's been for buckets to come by in this game.

Magic struggling real bad now. Bricked three triples in a row. Okoro doing a fantastic job on Banchero
Re: The NBA Begins by BlueMann: 8:42pm On May 05
Man this game is so ugly. Competitive series with some mean defense, but I'm glad it's ending.
Orlando's offense stinks

56 free throws shot. Only 7 more made field goals than free throws.

Anyways, Cavs will face the Celtics

All of 'em young stars would avoid anything Los Angeles now. Why allow some washed up stars use you to bolster their CVs when you can do bad all by yourself and attract all the attention they are getting? CP3, Bron, Kahwi, Harden & Westbrook are finished goods. Curry has a lot in his tank but until he learns to use his midrange more & stop stat padding by chucking 3s, I'll call him washed too.

Lol
Curry has a lot in his tank but LeBron doesn't? Curry that had a worse season than LeBron. Ok o grin

Poor rotation indeed. What the Lakers need is someone who will sit Lebron's candy ass down and not allow him handle the ball so much. He is stagnating their game play because most of the offense goes through him. He is taking too many isos, has the ball longer than he should and doesn't track back on defence when he loses the ball.

At one point in the series against Denver, He dribbled the ball off his own foot and then turned around and yelled at Prince about it. Like say na Prince make am lose ball. At another time, he was in pole position to catch a defensive rebound when Murray drove to the paint in front of him and Reaves. Reaves contested the shot, he didn't. He stood right beside both of them expecting the same Reaves who contested the shot to catch the rebound. When he didn't, he scowled at him. Who does that? He wants to play all offense and play no defense. He takes the glory when they win and shit on his teammates when they lose. You too dey here dey blame Darvin Ham because of the rotation. Yes I support you because he didn't have the balls to put Lebron in his place. LeBron has no business being PG at his age. When he pushes DLo out of PG position, what is the poor guy supposed to do if not to stand around and wait for crumb shots with no minute left on the clock, delayed shots because young Papa oldie is playing PG with his old arse moves.

It's either you hate LeBron or you know nothing about basketball. Or maybe both sef.

Agreed on all points. Lakers should have used regular season to fine tune an offense that is not centered on lebron. Even of it meant losses this team has to keep game pace with the rest of the league

How much more could LeBron have been off the ball this season? He had his lowest usage since his rookie year. And you know that apart from DLo, there was really no other ball handler/playmaker on that team. He's complaining about LeBron's turnovers like that part of his game just surfaced. His turnover numbers this season is still the same with last season and the season before that and the previous years. Nothing has changed.

You're talking about fine-tuning offense but nobody is making reference to the amount of injuries the Lakers had that forced us to have several starting fives for two thirds of the season. At a point we were starting Prince, then Cam, then Reaves went to the bench, then it was DLo who went to thr bench, then when Vanderbilt returned he came back to the starting 5, before settling on Rui due to Vanderbilt's injury. We were all over the place. The Warriors had a similar issue and their HOF players and coaches couldn't even will them to the playoffs. And yet somebody is here comparing Curry to LeBron.

I know you will make it a Curry vs LeBron matter. That's all you think of. In my post, I classifed Curry as washed too unless he stops chucking 3s. If he makes use of his midrange, he is still lethal. LeBron on the other hand is intimidating to his teammates. Both his coaches and his teammates are scared of antagonizing him. If Lebron demands the ball, no one dares to refuse him. As a result, that ball doesn't move freely. You can't compare Rajon Rondo's distribution of the ball to DLo's. These boys are playing scared. People here were dugging AD for not taking control of the 4th quarter in the series against Denver. If Lebron decides to play iso ball in the 4th quarter, Na who want stop am?
