People and myopic way of thinking...
So being a traditionalist in d form of ogboni now makes him ocultic?
So if u see a girl whose father is eckankar or Freemasonry what will u do?
My dear, if u love d girl go ahead and marry her. What if u go to marry some of those church members who are very churchous but at night they are acultic what will u do? For d man to boldly have the regalia, frame, almanac shows he is a plain man and not those who are very deadly but still call for morning devotions in their houses to cover up.

Look at them claiming Christianity when majority of the elders and leaders in the churches are occultic, they all belong to one secret society or the other. Even cultist are members of various church groups. Make una dey play.

Christians like to see every other group like an enemy. Ogboni no fight una yet una dey sing Ogboni power na powerless power. Always wanting to create enemity when there's none.

Where as, their clergy are in these groups (ROF, Freemasonry, AMORC, etc), but the sheep will never understand.

Only the deep understands the deep.

Ogboni is very Christian in principles and practices, in case you don't know.

Is she Occult too? If not marry her. My close friend and a colleague is married to a daughter of an Ogboni man. Late now though. The daughter and the husband controlled the narrative because they are true Christians.

"because they are true Christians"
Thank you! That is the valid answer. True believers do not have the spirit of fear. The word is written in your heart. It helps you make even split second decisions instinctively. Anyway the story did say the ognoni man's daughter is 'a better Christian'...that clarifies a lot

It's very dangerous at this moment turning his back against the man.

He should deploy a strategic method to do so.

Ogboni men are very dangerous men. My late father has them as friends. Because he was a business man and they usually come to him for their printing work. My dad owned a printing press.

If he never visited and presented a drink..... That would've been easy.... At this moment, that guy will sleep and will never wake up!

Have you ever seen anyone of them wealthy?

They're after supernatural powers..... Knowing things beyond the ordinary man's knowledge.

They believe in the metaphysical powers.

They spent all their wealths buying items or books.

One of them showed me a bottle of liquid that brings luck and said it was 200k. Said if he gooles out he gets whatever he wants while communicating with people....

You can never find a perfect family.I think the issue is about the two individuals here. You can marry the lady in question and build the kind of family you want. Also, after marriage the new authority in the girls life is you,not her father. She could respect her father, but when it comes to the question of spiritual authority you are now responsible in the way you drive your home.Sometimes the best things in life are not found in beautiful situations or conditions.Stand together with the lady and build a home. Life itself is full of battles.

Mumu stop being foolish spiritual which covenant. U don't know hw God works dis guy might be d source and reason the father inlaw might retrace his steps back to Jesus since he was a former baptist member.

Thank you for this submission. I do not understand this society of church in every corner, confusion in every other mind. The word says "I have given you authority to trample on snakes and scorpions and to overcome all the powers of the enemy". The lady's father here has not proved himself as a snake or enemy. If the guy is walking in the light what he should see is the chance to win that man's soul. Christ gave the power freely to true believers. Remember the "legion" demon. Jesus Christ didn't say a word before it started begging. That is the power of true believe in Christ Jesus, different from "born again" label/badge

And you need to evolve in spiritual matters. You are blind to the Gross evil happening in this world because you are Spiritually blind as well. I don't expect someone like you to understand anything. Your kind will be used as lab rats in some years to come because of your blindness.

For your info, the spiritual wickedness ruling Africa is part of the reason Africa is plagued with extreme poverty. The powers that be use Spiritual laws to hold Africa down and as long as politicians are part of these powers, Africa will remain where it is. I don't expect you to understand a single thing of what I'm saying. So, upgrade your knowledge in how the world really works in the Spirit realm in conjunction with African leaders. Don't joke with the Spirit realm for it controls the physical.

He has no business with the girls father na , the young girl have her own life to live and she's responsible for her own path and not her father...
Why do you people just feel like coming up with excuses when it's time to tie the knot?
Imagine you break up with her for useless excuse after all the effort she put in, imagine the trauma it will cause her.

Ogboni pre-dates colonialism. Just like we have Masons in Europe, so was Ogboni amongst the Yoruba's.

As a Jehovah's Witness, as long as your wife to be is also a Witness, whatever the father is is irrelevant.

Generally, I have no problem with Ogboni or religion. Just that this guy wants to be a Christian. It's just sad that a parent's beliefs can affect a child's marriage.

Okay here is the story.

One of my best friends who is expected to get married this year just called me for hours with regards to his plans.

He met this babe 2 years ago and things were going fine. I even know the girl as a nice lady and very homely. I don chop her food, she cooks well. Both of them attend RCCG church. My friend is a casual member while his fiance is a serious member and doesn't miss weekly services.

So my friend to take his relationship more seriously decided to visit his fiancé's family so they know him. Before then, the fiancé had told him that her father is a former Baptist but has stopped being religious and sometimes does traditional practices. On the day of him visiting her home, he was welcomed even bought gifts for the dad and mum. But he said his spirit was very uncomfortable in that house.

There was an standing portrait of the father on white with beads and regalia to show he is Ogboni. Also in the house, there were a few funny looking art works which looks occult. My friend played cool, the father even asked of his church and he told him. The father proudly said he is a traditional man. After the meeting, the next day he asked his girlfriend if her father is an ROF member and she said yes that she told him before that he is a traditional man.

But my friend is showing signs of doubts. He told me he loves the girl, but that he wants nothing to do with anything occultic in this life till he dies. His family may not agree but even if he insist to have his way because of love, he wants to be sure it will not end in regret.

I told him what really matters is the heart of the person he is marrying. My guy said yes but family background matters. Foundation matters, which is true.

House, what do you think?

He should proceed because he is covered spiritualy and the wold today is full of Evil

say what you know please, your father in-law can never do that without your permission, even if he does it will be void unless you as the husband agrees to add it to your child's birth certificate

Stopped reading at "lab rat". And no, the word of God does not change so I don't need upgrades in that regards. But do what you do, sir. I understand it is paramount to keep the fear levels high in the business of "spiritism". I reiterate, the message is for true believers in Jesus Christ, not fear mongers. Christ has created in you the spirit to win and overcome and not of fear and uncertainty...cowering up and down. Your faith really should set you apart, make you special, empower you, be the light that draws others to Christ, make you a winner!
