Zombies will avoid this thread like a plague

Why should anyone avoid a topic where She'll is confirming they have paid their 2023 tax and royalties?

How is that a problem for anyone?

Where they not suppose to pay it and government to collect it?

Is that supposed to be a scandal?

When was this Billion- Dollars Paid by Shell?
Is it to Tinubu or Buhari before he left the Office ?
What was it used for- Nigerians should •Not be borrowing Money,if all these Statements,- Including the Money / Revenue Collected by the Customs Dept, etc,is true!
Our National Assembly are just after their Pockets, otherwise, what are they doing over their so called Oversight Functions ,to ALL MDAs?
God help Nigerians,as even Retirees-have not gotten Palliatives or raise on their Monthly patry payments - yet they need to pay for food, hospital bills ,drugs ,etc!
Nigerian wants Accountability in all Sectors - from National Assembly, the Presidency, the Governors, the States Assembly- are looking to our leaders to do the Right thing!
Federal Govt should fight Corruption standstill, not by Mouth.
Nigeria shall be great again!

You want to be a great nation but you don't want to fight Bribery and Corruption.
You want to be economically buoyant but corruption is encouraged
Corrupt Governor's, ministers , political figures, top administrators etc are being honoured.
Wat Against Bribery and Corruption

And some enemies of Progress were saying that the Lagos Calabar Highway shouldn't be built

The Niger Delta people deserve it !
Look at what resources were taken from their Lands and then sunk into building Abuja
that didn't benefit them because it was too far away from them

From some of the comments made so far I can deduce there are a lot of brainless people here!
.... you make an assertion without supporting evidence, you say people are brainless but no reason is given. You that have brain didn't think it is proper to give reason why people are brainless.

Re: Shell Confirms Paying $1Billion Tax To Nigerian Government In 2023 by firearcher: 11:46am On May 08
The same people claiming this money has been stolen without any evidence are the same people who would condemn the Lagos-Calabar coastal road arguing that the government has no money and it is not a priority to execute those kinds of projects.

Most of our government will claim they have no fund and can't executive capital projects which is often not true. They will rather spend money on their selfish interests and at best little micro-projects here and there which often does not positively impact the larger society.

For whatever reason they have decided to embark on this one, let them go ahead and do it

it is peanuts compared to shell’s operations in Nigeria.

A probe should be undertaken as to why it is so low.
