Nokia was dying when they started focusing on pricey toys rather than the quality phones that were thier legacy, the fool who advised them to take the windows deal delivered the final blow that literally sucked out the life from the company, and one thing in the tech world is, it's evolving very fast, the moment you get left behind forget it, you ain't coming back from the fall, ask blackberry, Las Las apple too will soon follow, because they're running out of ideas, and they're following exactly what blackberry did, little innovations but still expensive, eventually people will get fed up with them too.

Nokia had a 10yr lead on its closest competitor but dropped the ball by not adapting to new techs and OS.
Every other player saw that android o.s was the future and quickly adopted it, while Nokia still stuck to its Symbian o.s and by the time they realized their mistakes, they had already lost the majority share of the phone market.

I remember watching a video wherein the former CEO was giving a press conference and crying saying "they did everything right and still failed" and I was just yelling at my screen "stfu you idiot man".

Tecno is even good in android than Nokia... I bought Nokia1 an android phone, I didn't use that phone for up to 6months before phone started with charging port issues from there screen going blank and I returned it...

But tecno F1 I bought after it, I used it for complete 3years before throwing the phone away...

Nokia is good in doing Java phones not android at all... When it comes to Java phones, I will choose Nokia over tecno

. All still working and in good condition.

Nokia Is a substandard phone. Crazy how the mighty has fallen. Now under the ownership of HMD global, a Chinese company with plans to launch its eponymous brand. I literally used nokia 2.3 years back. I bought it upon launch@slot because I thought nokia was the brand of old. Few months upon usage, multiple charging port issues. One day, the phone turned off, and never came on. Cause of death: panel issues. I conflicted with hardware and software issues during my time with nokia. Who are they trying to deceive with their nonsense flashbacks? Never again.

You weren't lucky, my nokia 6.1 plus (x6) that I got since 2018 is still working today. I only use it to play COD

They used to own the phone industry but they messed things up. From switching to windows OS and android.

Symbian phones used to be our smart phone those days, way before Android came.
All they needed to do was to advance their Symbian OS.

There was no way symbian would have competed with Google android and Apple IOS. They realized late, and signed with Microsoft. But the later already won people's heart.
Lumia wasn't a bad OS in my opinion, it just came in too late.

Technologies evolve. And some come to wipe others out.

Nokia didn't join the moving train at the right time. This was their grand mistake. But the reality is; if they return with the same old quality, they will still get a large market. This is because of a production consideration called planned obsolescence.

People now produce cars, phones, and house hold devices with planned obsolescence that makes them last less than 7 years. If Nokia returns with a product that is found not to have planned obsolescence in its design, it will get a good market
