I once lived in an apartment where the landlord said 'No generator'. Funny enough, he didn't inform me before-hand. It was after I packed in and was unloading, he saw my generator and told me about the rule.


I calmly told him that I've heard and will abide. That rule prompted me to construct an iron cage for my generator. Any time it's hot, I'll just turn on my generator, enter my house and turn the music so loud that ain't gonna hear sh1t. He shouted, cussed and threatened fire & brimstone. For where? His children too threatened but I stood my ground.

Once he brought Policemen and we went to the station, nothing happened. Even he too knew nothing would come out of it when the Police people too turned on their gen for the D.P.O.

The Baba got tired and resigned to fate. He said he'll evict me after my rent expired, too bad I paid for 2 years.

After that incident, every other tennant became inspired and started using their generators. When our transformer got spoilt and the heat became unbearable, even Oga Landlord too bought a brand new generator. We all went to congratulate him for finally joining the clique. Las las, I and Baba became good friends until I left the compound about 4 years later.

Nice story. Made me remember my formal landlord, his own is that anytime he's busy doing something in the compound you must help him out. Maybe car or gen got faulty and he needs to push it or repair or just name any kind of thing, even if he and his wife is having an argument he expects the tenants or anyone around that time to interfere. If you don't interfere serious war don start be that.

My former landlady used to pray inside the compound exactly 9pm. No matter what is pursuing u, u will stay outside till she finish praying. The shortest prayer will take 30minutes. Once it is some minutes to 9pm and u are around the house, no to pick race o

Or separate soakaway(s), not the one attached to the septic tank/pit. The function of soakaway is to soak the water away.

One of my landlady said I must inform her before I nail anything on the wall. I no must not enter the house after 9pm and must not increase the volume of my home theater.

Another one says before I rent her house I must have young kids that she can send on errands and secondly I'm not allowed to use my generator rather i fuel her generator and everyday from 5 to 7pm she'll put it on for the whole house cuz she doesn't want noise everywhere. I did not only run, I also till date avoid passing the front of that house 😂😂

My landlady is a down to earth kinda person.....

She's always buSy at her store,hence,no rules...

But as a sensible tenant,there are things you shouldn't do cuz you should be wise and mature enough to know they aren't right......

Since I packed in-here,I've experienced so much peace of mind.....
