Aguiyi wasn’t smart, was only a brave soldier. Nzeogwu, Madiebo and Ojukwu were far smarter than him . The way he opened his mouth to that food for a man at his level in life then that doesn’t have any business eating or drinking outside tells me a lot about him

This is a lame argument you people refused to recover from because you wanna push Igbo hate.

Firstly, he stayed in power for 5months and unify the civil service 45 days before he was assassinated. If Nigeria did not want that policy, who enforced it after he was killed? Why did the new government not repeal the decree?

Secondly, when Ironsi was killed, it was still 4 regions renamed as 4 states. Why did Gowon divide the 4 states to 12 states making it impossible to reverse?

ogami. Ironsi, Ben nwabueze and others started everything by abolishing regional government and establishment of central or unitary government. It has nothing to do with creation of states by dividing eastern region. The purpose of the creation was for identity of the many minority tribes that make up southern Nigeria today, and creating Igbo states b4 d war, cos the oil in D south was seen by gowon as one of ojujwus reasons for Biafra creation.

If anyone tells you that Ironsi abolished Region's or introduced unitary rule, know that's its a big lie. It's not possible to have unitary rule where there is resource control, and it's not possible to abolish Region's without replacing it with something else. Ironsi never touched resource control, and the 4 Region's he met when he came in were still there the day he was killed. What Ironsi introduced was Military rule. The person who abolished the 4 Region's, and created 12 new states to replace them, was Gowon, with Decree 14. Gowon then introduced full blown unitary rule with Decree 15 that ended resource control. Below are Decree 14 and 15

So Aguiyi should be blamed because his predecessors continued his decree and couldn’t change it after 60 years and 15 presidents and blaming him sounds to you like your brain is still normal? The bitterness you people have nurtured over the years for the igbos as the reason why you are not successful has done a lot of damage to you people mental health and iif it continues like this the psychiatrist hospitals in your side cannot contain the fallout of what is about to happen in the next few years
