This is different from your first assertion. You obviously have a serious problem with English.
Ad hominem on display, you have a problem with self reflection, your usual display of cluelessness when questioned or confronted speaks volumes on your level of IQ

If you are quick to understand things, or think properly before commenting, you'd be able to see that your attempt at faulting Yorubas on a culture that everyone agrees they are notable for, wouldn't be a problem to you, yet in your attempt to water it down, you had to look for something as baseless as LOVE as an excuse for respect

It's sad really, because RESPECT is something that should be imbibed into every human regardless of who you are or where you're from, it should be a basic instinct when meeting strangers, so next time, try to be fully smart, not smart by quarter.

You are yet to explain how my comment means that respect should be shown to only the people that are loved.

We are republicans...just like the Americans,
we great you with straight face while shaking your hands.

We're not trained to be subservient!
pharmagba:
It's aways a thing of pride to see elders being accorded respect.
It is much more good to see when those in position do this to our elders.
I remember as a little boy seeing my dad prostrate to his mum and I joyfully join him.

This tradition of the Omoluabi should be emulated, its not that we cannot disagree with our elders but we do so whilst still according them that respect. It is not difficult to achieve when one considers that we disagree with our bosses at work yet we don't insult them but respectfully express our dissent.
Money shouldn't be the criteria showing respect to the elders.

But why are you obidient ipob from the SE so full of hate b jealousy for the superior Yoruba.

May you soul not perish of hate.

immortalcrown:
A culture of respect indeed. I see it between elderly drivers and young LASMA officers. I see it between young bus conductors and elderly LASMA officers. I see it between owomida boys and elders.

However, salutation is not love.

You are the one full of hate and jealousy. Otherwise, point out any hate or jealousy towards anybody in my comment.

Greeting exists in all culture.

Reno Omonkey and bababluism.

Reno is a snake, he should have mentioned the life expectancy age. But he didn't so that his stupidity won't be obvious.

In Africa, Algeria had the highest life expectancy as of 2023. A newborn infant was expected to live 77.3 years in the country. Cape Verde, Tunisia, Mauritius, Morocco, and Seychelles followed, with a life expectancy between 76.9 and 75 years.

The average life expectancy at birth in the South-west Nigeria is 58.2 years.

Reno needs to visit Algeria, we may need to start greeting like Algerians to live long.

Nonsense and Ingredients
Are you being intentionally obtuse?
He said in NIGERIA, not Africa.

Always read to understand and not to argue.
Life isn't hard, let's stop making it hard for ourselves.

I don't have time for dumb people. His point is that greeting gives long life. Why not copy Algerians that have a much better longevity?

since you know that of south west to 58.2, why not give us about the other zone. What he said about the Yorubas are true. Am from edo state, akoko edo in edo north, we share that attribute too, unlike mostly Benin's who are proud. Ask any of them, cos they always referred to us as yoruba in edo. Before I used to think Yorubas don't have many stake in development of Lagos but staying in Lagos now and as a real estate man, I can say the Yorubas controlled at least 60 percent of manufacturing, entertainment, oil and gas, hospitality and real estate. They also partners with some foreign companies you see in Lagos, Ibadan and Ogun state. In island they almost own all the estates, name the major fast food in Lagos and see the name of the CEO or is it hotels, super market. They are not the proud and noisy people but that does not mean, they don't also have their bad side but they are actually better than other tribes. They are more accommodating, only people who get problems with them are those who don't want to respect them. How can you go to someone place and be dragging with them. I have traveled to at least 25 states and all zone inclusive, mostly others can't take what the Yoruba take. We all should learn to respect host communities.

The big problem with most you is LACK OF COMPREHENSION. Reno simply said that greeting will make you live up to 58.2 years age. Why not copy the Algerians that have much better life expectancy of 77 years?
I don't need to start arguing about the rest of your wailings!!

Learn to stick the point, it saves you from writing lengthy replies that is not relevant to the topic.
