My passport will expire in November. But I want to renew it ahead of time.
I've been trying to log into the Nigerian immigration passport website to renew but as soon as I enter my NIN, this image pops up saying they could not reach the NIMC server to verify my NIN.
Has anybody else experienced this?
Is it a temporary glitch or do I have to visit their office.

I have been experiencing this error message as well and wondered if the issue was with my NIN.

Does anyone know how soon it would be rectified or if it can be bypassed by going to their office.

Please has anybody been successful with this? Cos I keep getting same error message..what's the way forward please

I have the same issue, my passport expires in November too and my IRCC permit is tied to my passport expiration. I have been trying to apply before going to Ottawa but NIN verification keeps popping out same error messages as you attached here.

Please it's been close to a month as anyone been able to rectify the issue.
I have sent them emails,tried calling and all, I've got nothing.
They won't reply and get seem to get a hold of them through calls

Tag them on Twitter It would be solved immediately.

I was having issues with nin for almost three years. I had gone everywhere including their office at ikeja spending money here and there.

Contacted them on Twitter within 5 days it started working as they promised on Twitter

The main is that your NIN has not been activated. So go to NIMC office to activate your NIN

I tried it again later and it worked.
Sorry I saw your mention late.

Hello, I was having similar issue as you concerning the NIN error - same as shown on the subject of the topic.

However, I sent an email to info@nimc.gov.ng , CC: nimccustomercare@nimc.gov.ng , customercare@nimc.gov.ng

Mail subject: Validate My NIN-Number

In the body of the email, I stated my NIN number and filename requesting for possible Validation of NIN number

The issue was resolve in less than 24 hours after I sent the email.

Good luck with it.

wetin carry me come this post today na the error message below
"There was a problem verifying your passport number. Kindly try again later"
I was able to check properly yesterday, but I was trying to see if I will get a closer date in their ATL office.
I tried over 8 times yesterday and no luck with a closer date.
my fear come be say, make dem no flag me for multi trying.
Has anyone ever experienced this?

I think it’s just server problem, it worked the next day by itself.
