During the military rule there was law and order. Food was cheap. Transportation was cheap. Economy was not up to 100th as bad as it became when the civilians took over and started sharing money among their friends and family. Abacha stole a lot of money during his reign, and when part of that money was returned later by the Europeans, the civilian government shared it. So what's the difference?

Please keep shut! Did you experience military rule? You never experienced military rule, you only heard about it. You must be a Gen Z. Don't you ever wish military rule on Nigerian again! Which food was cheap? Or which transportation are you talking about?

Sani Abacha economics policies is better than Nigeria's democracy from 1999 till date, from vision 2010, PTF, Dollars pegged at less than 70 naira, Petro less than 20 naira per litter and many others National progress.

The economy was thrown into decadence by the military starting from Babangida with SAP - Stuctural Adjustment Program which introduces a number of policies that destroyed the economy from SFEM which led to massive round tripping in Forex Market and so much more to Abacha unprecedented corruption and mass murder of perceived enemies in cold blood.

Another mentally unstable illiterate soldier like him will kick out his ass before then. I doubt if it will be without blood, sorrow and tears

Nigeria acheived great things under military rule than civilian rule.
3rd mainland bridge, birth of rising talents in d 70s to 90s in all walk of life, spirit of nationalism, international recognition, stable fuel price, naira equivalent to dollar, good economy and easy to get jobs, fear to commit crime due to constant firing squad killing at Lagos bar Beach..... Everything was based on competence not politics.

We also lost our railways, had a rising debt problem, power cuts began under army rule in 1978 and kept rising, white elephant projects like Ajaokuta, and depreciation of our phone service, as well as worsening debt and tribalisim and some of the worst religious crisis in this country's history.

Economy got worse under army rule too.

Burkina is still a broke ass country last I checked.

Two years already spent. Another five years for transition. Thereafter he can run in the elections to be supervised by himself, using the army and some gullible citizens. He recently increased salaries as a show of his “sincerity” and was applauded by the people.

The young man has already shown himself as a student of despotic African leaders. He has shown his ability to be the President for life. He has shown his intention to be reckoned among the sit tight leaders.

Africans need to wake up and demand proper leadership. Africans should no longer surrender their lives to such horrible leaders, whose only plan is to loot, kill and destroy.
