Isn't it possible the psalmist saw this unicorn in the spiritual realm? And that's even assuming he wasn't just speaking based on his earthly knowledge. We don't know and there's no earthly or spiritual evidence that they exist.

Dragons, werewolves etc existed even before our fore fathers were given birth to. The names have been existing for long.

But, the Bible didn't speak much of those women. It gives no further information beyond the fact that they were noticed because of their beauty by the sons of God (the angels), married by those angels and gave birth to the Nephilim.

Do you have any resource or documents I can look into, that talks about the punishment (and curse) of those women (which relates to them being sirens of the oceans and seas)?

Mermaids exist but they are very ugly and dangerous unlike what you see in the movies.
They don't have spiritual powers like people assume, just a dangerous water creature that look like humans somehow.

I have been hearing of the existence of mammy water also known as mermaids but never for once seen one. Many nigerians and people around the world believe they(mermaids)exist for such reasons we have even since films acted to prove the existence of mermaids.

And it's widely believed most especially in nigeria that mermaids are very beautiful humans or creatures and also bring good wills and deeds to who ever human they come in contact with.

I myself have never come in contact with a mermaid so i don't believe it exist but i still pray and wish to come in contact with a mermaid someday. I think if possible it would be a memorable moment.
For those of you who have had any encounter with a mermaid should pls share his/her experience and observations. But if you haven't seen any mermaid but you believe in it existence, you can still share your reasons on why you think mammy water aka mermaids exist.

Some of you just like complicating life unnecessarily. Even if mermaids existed. They'll be just another aquatic animals like dolphins and the rest.
The existence of mermaids doesn't mean it has to be spiritual.
But so far, there has not been any evidence of mermaids. It is safe to say they do not exist.

1. God did not give them names, it was Adam who named them

2. Just because there is a name for these things doesn't mean they exist. If only you know that most of these names are just the products of the imaginations of the writers who first wrote about them in novels and storytelling books/movies. I can decide to write a story tomorrow describing my imaginary encounter with a mythical being and chose to call that being "kabazoola." That's how most of these names like unicorn, dragons came to be.

I will tell you about a story about my own grandfather. If you doubt me, you can come to my place in Bayelsa state and ask about it.
So, there was a tree that stood at a portion of one lady's farm for years, even before she was born. Because of the shade it gives, most farmers around it usually go under it to rest. And children used to climb it to play, too. So, on one faithful day during new planting season, the owner of the farm decided to cut down the tree in order to plant on the space it was taking. And when they fried to cut down the tree, it produced blood and it made movements that frighted the woman and the person she brought to do the job. But when they further fried to cut it, it became even more bizzare. So, they quickly dan home to inform other people in the community. And they went to withness what was happening. There they discovered that the tree was not just a tree but a high python snake. And everyone became scared to killed it. But my own grandfather volunteered and finally cut it down and killed it.
After some months and possibly years, an unknown lady started looking for him and asking for direction. And she was finally led to his house where she met him. There, the strange woman told him that she was the snake tree that he killed. She then threatened she will deal with him. She said that Why would he kill her when she did nothing to him; she never hurt anyone despite the years. She allowed people to come under her Shade yet she didn't harm anyone. So, after speaking those words, she moved. And just before my grandfather would get out of the shock to even say a word, the strange woman was nowhere to be found. And not quite long, he took ill and died.
This is a true life story.

Oddly enough I don't doubt this story, maybe because I've heard similar stories from my village as well. But I think the simple (or maybe lazy man) explanation would be that there was a spirit being inhabiting the tree, that turned to a python when it was about to be cut down. Of course spirits don't die so the same spirit came back in the form of a woman to threaten your grandfather. Probably.
