35k for 40mbps?
At this point you're better off just getting FiberOne or ipnx if they're available in your area.
35k on either should get you nothing less than 100mbps.

It's so Sad, The 20MBps is like what everyone needs, but its a demarketing for other providers.

I guess it is a regulation issue, cause no other provider is that cheap.
35K Seems to be the benchmark for true Unlimited plans, Unless it's Fiber which is a fixed location.
Unlike routers that can be moved around.

How did you go about attempting to subscribe? I can still see 25k subscription here.

However an airtel agent told me weeks back that there are rumors from the airtel company that the 20k plan will be discontinued.

It's a bad move especially cos most ppl opted for Airtel cos of the relatively affordable 20k plan.

As seen in the screenshot, the 25k is for new customers only and will not be visible on the payment page, try it and revert.
As U rightly said the increment and subsequent removal of the 20k subscription is a wrong move in all remifications

I believe the sim has to be provisioned to a certain tariff, probably a broadband tariff, in order for those unlimited plans to be available for subscription. I have two Airtel sims, and the 20k, 35k and 50k unlimited plans are only available on the sim that came with the unlimited package.

I can't answer the 2nd question because I have not tried it out. I doubt it will work with any sim card that has not been provisioned to work as such. You could try asking airtel agents though.

FibreOne has been a lifesaver for me since I moved to Gbagada. Approximately 12k pere and I'm not worried about any FUP, Data caps or Speed throttling. There are days when speed can be slow or they have downtimes, but that happens less than 5% in a month.
