Its time to get a solid, grounded basketball coach and get back to fundamentals. This team can win a ring, in fact could have won one this year, but there needs to be some discipline. AD needs to be told to step up. And Lebron needs to be told to back off. A PF in his 20th year should never be the primary ball handler. It didnt work for MJ on the Wizards, and it definitely wont work in todays fast paced NBA.

They may have to ship out AD, even Lebron as well if the math makes sense.

Okay here's the parole. I've been very unimpressed with the Celtics. I really have. Looking at the Pacers series. If the Pacers were not a fugazi team themselves no way that series doesn't get to 6 maybe 7 games

On the flipside I wonder have the Mavs been worn down by facing tougher competition. That one week rest definitely will help

In the end I think it will boil down to the 3pt spamming ability of the Celtics. If the Celtics spam the 3pter like they did in the regular season then there's not much you can really do. That's the one area I really think they have the Mavs beat

Overall just based on the levels I've seen the Mavericks play though I just think they have too much for the Celts. Mavs in 6

Celtics bench is a bit weak IMO. I told you the Pacers are fugazi

The Celtics are better but the gulf isn't insurmountable if you ask me

Their real edge for me is still in the shooting if they shoot well from 3 I don't think the Mavericks can cope

That's what blew the game open and threw the Mavs off their game. I can count a 7-0 and 8-0 run inside 1 minute respectively midway through the 1st quarter that has the Mavs scampering and scrambling with no real identity.

Credit to the interior defense too but without the glut of 3s it's still a close game.

The Mavs have absolutely no answer for Porz. Man looks rested and in the mood.

Nothing you can do if you're the Mavs but take your medicine.

You now know what you're up against. Whether you lose by 1 or 50 it's just one loss.

Play tighter, sharper and more desperate in game 2

Indeed, I dont see them being as injury free in the upcoming year. But I dont agree on AD's value. Take a look at that team again, they are stacked. Hachimura, Reaves, Russell, Gabe those guys are guaranteed to make noise if used properly. Trade AD and deepen the bench + picks, a win for the 2 trading teams imo. At this point, Lebron is more reliable and less injury prone than AD, a shameful thing to say, but it is what it is

Without AD as your defensive anchor you will be at G-League level on the defensive side

On offense he is still your most reliable Quarter 1-3 option. We saw how he absolutely cooked the Nuggets the first 3 quarters of each game.

Reaves, Russell, Hachimura are good players but ultimately useless without All NBA tier level talent leading them.

Trust me I would want nothing more than LeNomad twilight seasons to end in Huge embarrassing failure but I at least want him to have a puncher's chance so Bronsexuals will have no excuses

Never! The City of Boston and fans are on same page about this roster and the expectation. I will give him his due because we are defending the perimeter better this year but again you have the roster and honcho in Brad Stevens. He blew it last year, he will not survive another choke job.

I agree they have the advantage in certain areas but let that 3ball start falling or stop falling in your end and you will see that the advantage is not as wide as you think.

Lively and Kyrie have been non factors on this game. The Mavericks will have to find a way to incorporate them into the offense cos Luka cannot do it all by himself
