ReesheesuKnack:My dear brother, The whole point is that the Rwanda deterrent is not working. The boats are still arriving, in increasing number. Also have you looked at the details of the Rwanda plan? The elephant in the room is that even when fully operational , Rwanda can only accept a very limited number of migrants: News reports have said that the numbers sent to Rwanda would initially be low, with Rwanda suggesting it will take 1,000 asylum seekers in the five-year trial period. 1000 in 5 years? So approx 200 a year ![]() Meanwhile over 10,000 have arrived in the year to June so far. What do you propose happens to the remaining 19,800 that can't be sent to Rwanda? That is the ones they can actually find as many land and then abscond. It's not like they'll be sitting patiently in their rooms waiting to be one of the sample few that are put on the plane. And this is assuming the planes actually take off as there will be a myriad of human rights challenges lodged in the courts against removal from the UK. Why haven't any planes left yet? The only person they've sent over is the man they paid a few thousand bob to leave! The scheme is as dead as a dodo, Tories are just trying to pull a fast one and wasting £ hundreds of millions of our money in the process. |

kumbhuru:Hi, you can check if your occupation code is on the immigration salary list : https://www.gov.uk/government/publications/skilled-worker-visa-immigration-salary-list/skilled-worker-visa-immigration-salary-list |
| Re: Living In The Uk-life Of An Immigrant (part 3) by kumbhuru: 8:23am On Jun 07, 2024 |
Zahra29:Thank you. It isn't on the list. Hope it doesn't has effect on visa approval? |

UnconventionalT:It depends on if you are returning to the UK soon. |
| Re: Living In The Uk-life Of An Immigrant (part 3) by UnconventionalT: 8:38am On Jun 07, 2024 |
Deeegbee:I am not. Is it advisable to remove my money before the visa expires? |
| Re: Living In The Uk-life Of An Immigrant (part 3) by Zahra29: 8:45am On Jun 07, 2024 |
kumbhuru:It shouldn't, the list mainly impacts salary as occupations on the list can be paid a bit less to qualify for sponsorship. You should be fine as long as you meet the relevant criteria for the health & care visa. |

UnconventionalT:It depends on where you are heading to, you can instruct your bank to wire the funds to your new location. If the new location is within the West, maybe US or Canada and there is a card (Master or Visa) linked to the account, then you don't need to get yourself worried. Just ensure you don't misplace the Debit Card. |

Good afternoon. Please what’s the minimum salary requirement for a skilled worker visa application (for a nurse) to be approved by UK Home Office? Thanks |

Anyone travelling for Euros or Olympics this summer? Just got my Schengen visa and trying to make travel arrangements via Eurostar (tired of flying). Any tips for a young couple would be greatly appreciated. Thanks |

My name sake just decided to score something akin to a hat-trick of own goals. How on earth do you leave Macron, Biden, Zelensky, etc and fly back home just to record an interview? An interview that isn’t even going to be aired Live. How? Pathetic! |

ReesheesuKnack:My dear brother 😊, they say "whom the gods will destroy, they first make mad" Cos that was certainly moving mad. Like how ![]() To make matters worse it's been leaked that he hadn't even planned to go in the first place, before comprising and leaving early. |

Jamesclooney:You’ve kinda left it a bit late to book Eurostar tickets for summer especially with the Olympics coming up shortly. Tickets are still available but you will find that they are over £200 for a return journey whereas if you booked well in advance it’s usually priced at £39 for one way, I hate being ripped off so I always get my tickets 5 to 6 months in advance or as soon as they are released. It’s an enjoyable experience not having to faff around with liquids and luggage restrictions and the train also takes you straight into the city. You will be able to get train tickets for your onward journey from the Gare Du Nord. Get the RATP app on your phone, they have something similar to a visitor Oyster card which you can load tickets into and use to navigate the public transportation system. Always remember to validate your tickets before getting on the train, the French police don’t suffer fools gladly and can fine you on the spot. Ticket info can be found here: https://www.ratp.fr/en/titres-et-tarifs |

Mamatukwas:I would tell you for free, the insurance company you start with, would change ownership, multiple times over the duration of your policy........ I have lost count, how many times I got new transfer letters....... Go with the provider that offers you the best deal, your premiums would keep increasing, every year (the older you get)......😂😜🍓 |

Zahra29:The deterrent effect will not work if people doubt you'll ever be able to use it. If Rishi had done just one trip and showed the potential to do more, that number will definitely come down. Many in his own party strongly opposed it, opposition parties promised to scrap it. So no deterrence effect. Even if Rwanda takes 1,000. When you realise you could be one of the 1,000, you have to rethink the equation. It's like using having an expensive weapon that people doubt you'll ever be able to use. Will not keep you safe. Not supporting or speaking against the Rwanda thing sha. Britain grew wealthy and prosperous on the back of sailing to other people's shore illegally to claim the benefits of those countries . They only receive a pinch of what they've done to others over the years and are already irked. |

corpershun:I'm not surprised. With people becoming more aware of their rights around data protection especially since GDPR, and ICO churning out big fines to organisations for noncompliance, the industry will keep booming. Many companies were hoping the proposed DPDI bill would ease things a bit for them. Unfortunately with the election in the horizon, the bill will not pass at least in the foreseeable future, and many industry experts even fear it might not get revisited again, especially if Labour wins, as that might not be a priority for them. BTW, I sent you dm |

Private schools like Winchester college and all the rest of them are businesses which turn a profit. They should pay VAT like the rest of us. That tax will be used to equip schools for the 93% of children in state schools. What's wrong in that? The country ll enjoy the extra 1 billion in taxes I am very averse to subsidising the wealthy(if you can afford to send your child to a private school, then you are wealthy) .Let everybody pay their taxes, mbok. I ,an adult cis woman, have never suffered any effect ,bad or good, from the existence of Trans women. Why are you looking at people in the restroom? I literally don't care. How have they affected your life personally? Not hearsay o, personally from encountering one Peerielass: |
