What Kyrie is doing so far is cementing the claim that he is NO batman. Right now, he is not even being a robin. And to think I once thought he deserved a shot at being a part of NBA 75. Delusion on my part. More deluded are those who think Kyrie is better than Iverson. With Mr Kyrie's handles, he should at least have a scoring title, but Mba! He doesn't. Iverson is the real nigger. Meanwhile Jokic, has cemented his place in history. No other player has stepped up three years after NBA 75. Also about NBA 75, I think I understand why Dwight Howard wasn't on that list. Rudy Gobert that has won DPOY 4 times would make anyone cringe if his name is mentioned in any context relating to any NBA list, not to talk less of Howard who has just 3.

Kyrie as a 1v1 player will always be great, but this discussion is why when I listen to some ex players it always seems at least to me that they put too much value into that 1v1 ability calling guys who can do it at an elite level real hoppers.
For me the NBA is a 5vs5 game not a 1vs1 game. Yes if we had a 1v1 tournament I would take AI over Nash, but if it's a give each guy 6 other players to play nba 5on5 basketball I will take Nash any day of the week and on Sundays too

Yes it is a low ball offer based on the circumstances. If it was to coach the Hornets or Cavaliers then that is understandable, but for the Lakers with all the external headaches that comes with it, add the fact that he will be leaving an ideal situation, then they should have offered him closer to what Monty got in Detroit.

Lol, I think you're turning the whole thing upside down. Bad teams lure good coaches with a lot of money. This is because they have nothing else to use as a bargaining chip. That's why a Detroit would give Monty 13m and Philly would give Nick Nurse 8m. And money isn't the only thing the Lakers use to lure people to LA. Why do you think the Lakers have been a landing spot for the best players down the years? It's the history, it's the allure of winning, it's the city, it's little things such as the weather.

He is, it also a new injury and is listed as questionable for today. With this information and irrespective if he plays, I expect the Mavs to double/ triple down on their interior offense strategy because Porz may be out or limited. It is the lifeline the Mavs need in this series because Porz is impactful for us on both ends of the court. With that being said, I remain confident in our team defense. The strategy should remain same. Keep both or one of Kyrie/ Luka quiet and force the others to make enough plays that can win this series. My preference would be to win 3 if we are going to split the series. I don't want any result that gives the Mavs any motivation, especially with the knowledge of Porz's injury.

Porzingis on both ends has been a match up nightmare for the Mavs thus far.

The amount of shots he alters in the paint never mind his shot blocking. If Gafford and Lively don't combine for at least 30-35points then they are not serious

The target should be minimum of 50points in the paint. Their wings and bigs have to be aggressive, physical and take advantage of Porzingis absence

This why I consider his rebound stats a tad fugazi. They're mostly uncontested. When it comes to the real ones in traffic he's usually found lacking
