Just break up the country.

But I hope this bill, if passed, will stop the influx of Southeasterners into Yorubaland through night buses.

They say this video is old, but it is still going on even as I type.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=aAJCkEOLGGI?si=LztlSFDdcrYiPVyM
I also hope this bill will stop south westerners from constituting nuscance in the east with their dirty looking agbo and Jalopies they drive around they termed as taxis.
I also trust the bill will reduce the menace of those wreteched Yorubas who convert under bridges to self contained apartment as well as increase the cost of an average Yoruba skull from mere 30k to something significant.

which igbo speaking part dey edo and kogi?
I also didn't know there are Igbo-speaking areas in Kogi state until I watched an interview a young man did with people in the communities in that area. I think they occupy 2 LGAs at the area bothering Enugu state

Yoruba man and sense.

You proposed that Yoruba speaking part of Kwara and Kogi, and even some part of Delta and Edo state be merged with south west to form Western region.

But in the case of south east, you didn't propose that the Igbo speaking part of Rivers, Delta, Benue, Kogi, Cross River, etc be merged together to form South Eastern region, rather to show your true colour of hatred, you are proposing that the Ohaji/Egbema region, one of the oil producing LGAs in southern imo state be removed from South East to form part of Southern/Niger Delta region. Is it not shameless daylight witchcraft?
The proposal will not see the light of the day. Yoruba people think that they are smarter than everyone. They are preparing the grounds for seccession. They think that every other ethnic nation in Nigeria is stupid. Northerners and Easterners will outrightly reject the proposals. Of course, Tinubu is aware of what will happen if he tries to enforce it.

As a governor Tinubu gave more power to the Local Government and even created more (LCDA) because he believed that is the way governance can easily get to the people although this caused a big fight between him and Obasanjo then.

With Tinubu's antecedents, I won't be surprised if he swiftly assent to the bill that will return Nigeria to regional Government but that's going to offend the Northerners a lot.
Are local government chairmen in Lagos independent? You nor serious

Yoruba doesn't discriminate themselves, the Igbo in those states you mentioned won't agree to go back to South East region. Those in Benue may accept rejoining Easterners. That's is the issue on Igbos.

They are not interested in breaking up. They are more interested in using the Niger delta oyel money to develop their landlock region, building seaports. They know regional government won't avail them such opportunity. They need Nigeria more than the Biafra.
You so realize some parts of the SE has crude oil, and also imo State has one of the largest volumes of natural gas on earth.

Illiteracy is a disease in you guys

I will prefer we in southern Benue ( idomas) to join the south eastern region. We have a good relationship with enugu in the border and Igbos in general. More so, south east has gas, they will be richer than the south south coupled with industrialization, science and technology, trade and commerce. I even love east more than North, this is because, there won't be religious war like the way north east and north west are accustomed to. They are christians like we, they dont kill in the name of god.
you people are not assertive like other groups. Did you not see how Anioma senator revealed the desire of his people to have Anioma state southeast. I am sure soon Igbos in rivers will join.
You guys have a senator. You should campaign for an Ohimini state in the southeast. Nigeria will likely break up based on a new regional line.

If so, will the Itsekiris leave Delta to be relocated to the South Western region?

Do they want to remain in Delta yet be classified as Southwest Region?

That proposal is not logical and devoid of geographical understanding
Were they not part of Western Region before?
Are they not sharing borderline with Ondo state?
Though not compulsory, but it is possible.

It's the best proposal so far ....Let people of common ancestry Rule themselves into Regions with full control while the Centre controls things like military and immigration ...Let me let you know something it's going to ignite healthy competition as it was in the past .....Once your region is not advancing you would be held responsible for it
Stop arguing blindly, have you ever been to Delta State. I can bet that you have never been there. Do you know that the stool of "Olu of Warri" is traditionally that of itsekiris. Do you know the land mass occupied by itsekiris in Delta. The riverine and coastal areas of Delta is predominantly occupied by Ijaws.

See I like intelligent contributions, google is your friend; you can research about itsekiris.

They migrated to Delta. The itsekiris will be doing themselves a disservice if they choose to remain in Delta and want to be under Southwest region. It will be a disaster for them.

Your points about regional system of government are well taken and understood in areas of healthy competition and others but get your facts right.

It has a lot of disadvantages, to group the itsekiris under southwestern region, for the itsekiris and even the southwestern regional government

Oga, you have an Android or IOS device, google and read about the Itsekiris.

They don't share borderline with Ondo state. It will be disastrous for itsekiris to remain in Delta yet be under Southwestern region when the Delta, Edo, Baylesa and their neighbors will be under a different region.

Funny hearing a Yoruba man speaking for Igbo groups. And you didn't even see where the foolish man excised Ohaji Egbema which is an LGA in Imo State into another region?

Why is he dragging every Yoruba-speaking area into SW and cutting out igbo-speaking areas from SE if he's not trying to be clever by half?

There problem is that they don't think deeply with their actions, their emotional level is very nauseating, their Agberorism is about masking their inferiority complex, some people don't even understand this. Agbero is a coordinated activities like mexicans drug cartels, just to control populace, you can't beat ordinary public motor park Abgero in Lagos and go scot free, next days or months you will never stay in that house otherwise you get killed like a chicken no probe or arrest, it's normal in every part of South West. it's a normal activities there, we Igbos haave nothing in common with this kind of people, it has nothing to do with religion. we should have been just a neighboring country with each other. one Nigeria is never going to work

Please educate me about the border between Ondo and Delta. You are the one trying to prove it not me.

Ensure to indicate the land border, if any, but if you tell me it is sea border, then your argument has been punctured.

I am waiting, my dear friend

This is the only thing they know how-to do, when I saw the proposal in vanguardngr.com, I lost interest in the whole thing. Their only interest is to remove egbema from imo and put in another region and add to their region. This people are beyond weak. Very smart people have already seen the Achilles heels behind the whole thing

The Itshekiri leaders have already assent to be joined with the West due to their mistrust of Ijaws ....This is contained in the 2014 confab reports as Well as the Okun people of Kogi and kwara state.....
It's the minority of the Old eastern region that are jittery of going back to Enugu as Capital ...
Insightful.

The only major issue that I see with the Itsekirilands would come from choosing the border frontiers between them and Urhobos and Ijaws. i'm also aware that Itsekiris have won landmark judgements at the Supreme Court over their lands which the section of Delta State Ijaws claimed to be theirs and which they have refused to accept the Supreme Court judgements. The FG should have stepped in years to ensure that court judgements are enforced. There should be a win-win situation for all three groups among the Itsekiris, Urhobos, and Delta State Ijaws.
